Question Villages Golf Store Official Club Car Dealer

I see in the paper ads that the Villages Golf Cart store is an official Club Car Dealer. What happened to the Club Car dealer on 441/27? I can't believe that because both are so close geographically that Club Car would do that. If I were the Club Car dealership in Lady Lake I would be fuming.

It's called an open market for a reason...without it we'd just be another socialistic mess with high prices only affordable by the rich...haven't noticed any posts because grocery stores sell the same products...competition is healthy...seriously healthy...believe that...

You are right. There are usually geographic restrictions on who carries a brand. But sometimes they carry quota's according to population. Interesting to know.

How can the Villages Golf Cart Store become a Club Car dealer? We used to call it clout.

This could actually be a good thing for current Club Car owners.

I assume that once The Villages Cart Store becomes a Club Car dealer it will be obligated to do warranty work on existing Club Car carts.

Since I had to wait 4 days for the current Club Car dealer to pick up my dead cart and return it just to find the only problem was a blown fuse they had forgotten to upgrade when they added a fan to the cart before delivery, I'm happy to see a closer possible repair source.

Last time I was at the Villages Golf Car Store, I noticed that all the carts that had the custom car bodies on them, i.e. Mustangs and Cobras were on Club Car chassis. Other than trade ins, I didn't see any new Club Cars in stock. That was a month ago, and anything can change quickly in The Villages.

Manufacturers protecting territories for distributors doesn't go against an open market policy. It's company not wanting to compete against itself. Not allowing a Club Dealer near a Yamaha dealer would be contrary to an open market.

My guess is that The Villages Golf Store is working in co-operation with the dealer on 441/27. Similar to the way the Harley Davidson dealership used to have a store at LSL.

Since Yamaha and EZ0-Go have dealerships in The Villages, Club Car is at a disadvantage. They probably want a presence in within the bubble.
