Default Driving Range

Hello, I'm a brand new to the Villages, I just moved into St James. I'm looking for a nice driving range/practice facility. Where are they located? How late are they open? Any lighted ranges around? Putting green, chipping green, practice bunker, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Default Welcome to golf paradise

Ranges at Championship courses (Glenview, Nancy (water), Sarasota, Palmer), Rolling Acres, Tree Top (lighted), and Buffalo Ridge ....boo-coo chip and putt areas!
I'm sure I've missed some!

There's 0ne at the intersection of Morse blvd and 466a-near the fire station. One at Palmer legends country club on Buena vista blvd. One Behind walmart on 466, Two on rolling acres rd., one north of 466, and one south Those are the ones I've put eyes on. There may be more.

The Sarasota range on Morse and 466A hits from mats on either Monday and Wednesday or Wednesday and Friday. They also have a good short game area on the end of the range by 466A.

Bonifay also has a good putting, chipping area. Palmer also has very nice and large putting greens.

These are then ones I use the most living in St Charles.

Cane Garden, which is fairly close to St. James, has three practice putting greens. One is near the pro shop but the other two are behind the Jacaranda starter shack and one is especially for chipping. The nicest driving range as far as targets is at Palmer Legends and you can hit off grass on certain days. The best deal for the money as far as bucket size and price and lets you hit off the ground anytime and has decent targets is Tree Top on Rolling Acres Rd. behind the American Legion, that's a right turn off of 466. The driving range at Bonifay is called Sarasota and is off Morse just south of 466A, which is not really co-located with the golf course. It's probably your closet but you have to hit into a lake and the water balls they use travel about 10% less distance and you also can only hit off the turf on certain days.
