Default Hole-in-one. Almost.

Out with pooch by a local golf course here in the Villages this morning and saw a ball come towards the hole from maybe 100 yards out and stop two feet or less from the hole.

Very exciting thing to see even if it was a missed it by this much.

I did not stick around to see if he got it in two though.

Are you allowed to give the ball some help with your foot?

I was about 10 yards from the hole. Right in front of it. I do have big feet...but!

I did see a woman get a hole-in-one about a year ago but that was out of the corner of my eye. I did hear a lot of joyous yelling.

Isn’t that called using the “foot wedge”?

Nice story but you shouldn’t be on a golf course walking your dog…

It is not on the golf course but on a pathway to somewhere else. Lots of dogs are there on-and-off during the mornings. And probably some more in the evenings.

I got three holes-in-one on an executive golf course up north.
Take enough shots and it will happen.

Any golfer who has played golf for years will tell you there is a bit of luck in getting a hole in one. I know some very good golfers who never had a hole-in- one and some others, not so good, who have had two. BTW, they are made everyday in TV.

I set a new golf record for myself last week by missing a 6 inch birdie putt.
