Angry What Rocket Scientist Closed All 3 Courses At The Same Time?

So now Pimlico, Churchill AND Belmont Executive Courses all are closed - yes, I get it, there are plenty of other courses "in the area", and they all eventually need maintenance - but why close all 3 in the same location at the same time? Defies logic, but then again - that seems to be "par for the course" around here...

Pimlico, Churchill AND Belmont do not eventually need maintenance - they need it now!

They all need a refresh. Maybe easier to work on all 3 at the same time.

Closing of a bunch of courses after the busy season is norm for around here. Got to keep those tee times tight!

I love it when golfers complain about the conditions, then when they shut down the course (courses for work), golfers complain!

Perhaps... perhaps not. Maybe doesn't defy ALL logic. Could be all three have some issues that require specific pieces of equipment and specific skills in the workers, so it may have been a matter of efficiency and even effectiveness and expediency, to address those issues while the skills and equipment are there in one general location, rather than shift back and forth of both equipment and personnel, again, especially if the three call for a particular expertise. Foundational and drainage issues with greens would require a much different protocol than, perhaps, routine aeration. There may be a lot more logic to their "madness" than any of us know. And, as you pointed out, those of us in that general area do have one of the largest choices of close by executives !

I LOVE that too... grand dad used a lot of old phrases, some may remember the one "damned if you do, damned if you don't".....LOL. If they only worked on one in a group of 2, 3, or 4 courses, "they" would complain, if they consolidate equipment and personnel and work on a group at ONCE in an effort to reduce time and costs, "they" complain....LOL... damned if you do, damned if you don't....LOL !

Exactly! Well said! Some people are never happy and enjoy having EVERYTHING to complain about!

Mitch is the Director of Golf Maintenance for the District. He choose two of the worse conditioned courses in the villages for renovation. Pimlico should have been included as it is so badly cared for by Down to Earth, the maintenance contractor. These contractors are cutting every corner that they can get away with in order to increase profits. Mitch's department is so understaffed that there is no way they can manage the 36 executive courses.
