Default Where are the easiest of the championship courses?

I've been in TV less than 2 years. I've been recovering from an injury and have been playing the executives but want to get out there and start playing the championship courses now that I'm doing ok. I want to start out trying some that will be a little easier on my body to ease into things. Any suggestions?

Probably Southern Oaks, wide open big fairways.

Try almost any course near you. Just move up on the tees. On green v white, you are probably past any serious danger and as you get more comfortable, move back.

Leave the societal pressures aside. I have for years played an assortment of tees. Whether it is forward or back they are just tees and present different versions of the same course. Eliminates “habit golf” where you could probably play with 5 clubs because you play the same tees=same course and presents different challenges.

I find Mallory (skip the Caroline 9) and Bonifay to be easier than the other courses. At least that’s what the scorecard indicates when playing those courses.

Or you can use the slope and rating

Easiest are probably the front 9 on Orange Blossom and front nine on Tierra Del Sol. Back nines on both different story

I don't know what Tees your thinking of, but I think I'd look closer at the Course Rating & Slope at TDS. I doubt many Golfers would agree that the Front 9 at TDS is one of the easiest 9 holes in TV. The Front 9 plays 3200+ yards from the Blue Tees & 2900 from the Whites. I think that's the longest 9 holes in TV. The back 9 is significantly shorter.

The slope and rating would indicate that Destin to Ft. Walton at Bonifay are among the most difficult courses in TV.

I guess my post was misleading. When I said Bonifay was easy based on the scorecard, I was referring to the scores I have had on that course, not the courses published statistics. I think I score well on that course because I like the three par 3, 4, & 5 setup on two of the nines.

All courses in TV are easy from the White Tees forward.

I'm in charge of a group of 12-15 guys. We play green tees as average age is 80. Without a doubt the scores are always the best on Hacienda and Cane Garden.
