Macular Degeneration and Iridocyclitis (Uveitis)
Looking for contacts for a retinal doctor who can test for Macular Degeneration and also one who can treat or diagnose Iridocyclitis (Uveitis). I have annual tests back north who are supposedly looking for macular degeneration but I would like to get a second opinion here in FL. I did see the Ocala Eye is a participating provider of my insurance. Has anyone sought treatment at their office? Thank you.

You do not need a specialist to tell you if you have Macular, any eye doctor can tell and see immediately if you have the condition. If you are diagnosed with it there are several eye specialist clinics in and around TV who can treat you.

At Ocala Eye, I regulary see Dr. Ahmed for my eye exams (glaucoma, etc.). Recently, she referred me to Dr. Samy because she noticed some very slight changes. He's the macular degeneration (AMD) guy. I am happy with Ocala Eye.
