Default Dryer not working properly

I recently had the dryer vent cleaned. When the repair man was finished I did a load of laundry and put them in the dryer. The clothes would not dry at all. The dryer did work perfectly before the vent was cleaned. The heat is working on the dryer and all of the clothes are hot but it seems like there is NO air flow to dry the clothes. Could use any help or advise to fix the dryer. Thank you in advance!

Maybe vent flapper is stuck closed on the outside end.

It sounds like you have a blockage in the vent system. I would not use the dryer until you get it fixed. It could cause a fire.

Call Beck's

I would call the company that "cleaned" the dryer vent, and make sure it is NOT blocked, I doubt the dryer in the problem.

I have experience with car dealerships, they get vehicle for nothing more than an oil change and return it to you with a starter problem. iow: spill fluid in starter.
Quite likely there are appliance maintenance scammers that cleaned the duct and damaged 'stuff' at the end of the duct, inside the dryer, as they 'cleaned' the duct.

I agree. The guy who cleaned out the vent probably screwed up.

It's called restricted airflow. It's can't breathe. The dryer may be back against the wall. Some people put a brick behind them to keep from pushing the dryer against the wall. Under 30 days the guy should come back at NO charge!

i recently had my vent cleaned also. The tech used a setting i never do called "air dry" to turn it on. Check your settings first.
Good luck

I'm surprised that you didn't call the vent cleaning company back immediately when there was no air flow. It could be that he pushed the dryer back too far against the wall. You may want to pull the dryer out a few inches and see if that solves the problem. You can also use a mirror and a flashlight to see if the vent pipe is connected to the back of the dryer and not crushed against the wall. But, the vent guy should have checked the air flow before leaving your house. It is not safe to operate a dryer with no air flow because it can overheat.

You likely got the same Bozo I hired. He did not have enough extenders for his vent brush, and just shoved all the lint into a thick impermeable wad near the top of your vent. Hire someone who knows how to do the job, or go up on the roof and clear the lint jam from the top.

Call the company that cleaned the dryer back. There is usually a flex hose between the dryer and wall outlet and they probably kinked it when they finished cleaning. If the hose is kinked there is no discharge for the air to go and your clothes will not dry.

Is your dryer in an outdoor attached shed on a manufactured house? The cold 🥶 will affect the dryer’s performance.

I agree with the last couple comments. The vent flapper could be stuck close or a pinch/kink in you dryer vent tubing

just a suggestion if you use dryer sheets I was told put them in a Lingerie bag so they don’t block vent. Told to me by the gentleman who cleaned our vents.
