H E L P.

Trying to set up my Roku for first time here.

Use ethernet and not wireless if you can. It gives a stronger signal.
If the HDMI cable is not seated perfectly or is faulty it will not work. You will get an unathorized blue screen and maybe sound. That has always been my problem.

Remember it is a little computer and fixing it usually means turning it off for a little while and turning it back on.

I have one. It's great.

What is the specific problem?

Also the roku supports slingbox, which is great for sending TV to or from a second home.

I have one. It's great.
The directions are on YouTube and made by Roku. By clicking the [click here] button on my first post you will see how to connect the Roku 3. Once you watch the 3 minute video then my comments will make sense.
