I am NOT a fisherman, I am not much of a golfer either, but it doesn't keep me off the courses.
So...I ask you this. When we were kids we would get a stick with a string and bend a pin and put a worm on it or someone had a hook. Do kids still do that? I was born after the Revolutionary war, so no snarky comments.

A non-resident, regardless how old, is required to obtain a license. If over 65 and you have proof of residency in Florida (DRIVERS LICENSE) a fishing license is not required.
Even if you don't require a fishing license and want to help the fish & game division I suggest you purchase a license. Revenue obtained from the sale of licenses is how the Fish & Game folks survive. The next time you see an FWC official thank them for their work. |

Bass, Bluegils, Specks/Crappies, Catfish, seem to be what the anglers have caught in the past. Lures of choice have been mostly artificial such as plastic worms. The fly rod folks have some exotic looking flies barely large enough to see that still catch large bass. Also live worms are popular but due to the aquatic growth they can be a problem fishing them under a bobber.
