Does anyone know why Father Simon former pastor of St. Mark's was transferred out two days after the decication of the new chuch?
He was most intstrumental in building this beautiful place of worship

St Mark is now run by Deacon Bob and his wife. Because father Mariusz was transferred and no big party was given; negetive emails sent to his superior and regardless of a positive report, reccomendation from Bishop Wenski that Father S. stay for another year and countless emails to Father S.'s superior, Father S was transferred.

Many people left St Mark even to the Episcopal church.

In short it was a political hatched job.

St Mark is now a shadow of what it was.

Don't know where the info came from but St Marks was started by the Pauline Order of priests (at the request of the then Bishop Wenski). This order has a strict rule of three year tours for priests. The e-mails,etc were an effort to stall the transfer till the dedication of the new church since they had gotten it done. However it was denied - rules are rules.

The church community is growing and Father George and Father Tedeous are running the church at present. I find it very friendly and close since I started going there last year.

Yes St Mark was started by the Pauline Fathers and Brothers. Yes at the request of Bishop Wenski. No, the Order does not have a strict rule of 3 years and out, it is possible to renew it for another 3 years; Father Simon only served 4 years.

Why yank a priest who established the Order in Orlando successfully; was instrumental in establishing a vibrant parish community; over-saw the raising of 3.5 million with 1 million already in the bank and lowered the projected mortgage from 3.8 million to 2.1 million; and successfully built a beautiful church. Why? jealousy my dear friend!

No, there were no scandals involving any wrong doing on Father S's part.

The only scandal committed was on the part of the Order and a small click who is surrounding Father George at the present. The same thing happened over at St Tim's with a religious Sister and Father Bob till people complained to the Diocese to forcefully retire the religious nun who ran the place.

Obviously you are oblivious to this recent history...But of course being the new kid on the block why would they tell you the truth?
