Everyone is invited to the Tri-County Interfaith Group's program entitled "13 Misconceptions about Islam." It will be held on Tuesday July 7th at 7pm at the

Rock of Ages Lutheran Church (ELCA)
300 Webster St, Wildwood, FL (in the Presbyterian Church building)

The speaker is Imam Abdurraham Sykes of Clermont, who presents to schools, churches, community centers other groups in Central Florida.

The Tri-County Interfaith Group (Lake, Sumter, Marion) consists of Villagers and non-Villagers, and seeks to present topics of interest regarding differences and similarities of people of faith. So far we have hosted a demonstration Seder at Temple Shalom, a panel on Catholicism and a program on the award winning "Power of Forgiveness." Future programs include Buddhism, Hinduism, and November's program will feature "Sacred Music" in the Church on the Square.


About the Speaker:
Imam Sykes embraced Islam in 1987, and is a chaplain at the Coleman Federal correctional Facility. Imam Sykes is also the President of (ISLAM) The Islamic Society Leading American Muslims. He speaks at colleges, Churches, Synagogues public schools, civic organizations and Corporate America
to address misconceptions about Islam.
