Not sure about Villages classes, but what are you looking for, hedging, get rich quick or just a basic understanding. A lot of info available on the web.

Tough to make money trading (buy then sell) options in any but the most liquid issues as the spreads are criminal.

I sell options and hold till expiry or exercise, this results in only one commission and the spreads are N/A as I only enter the opening transaction without a corresponding close.

As an options writer (seller) you will also incur an additional commission if/when your option contract(s) is/are assigned and called away (exercised).

True but that is about 10% of the time for me, so I'm ok with that. Also that commission (assignment fee) is a flat fee ~$20 and usually much less than the corresponding closing commission would have been for the number of contracts I usually trade.

You could attend the Investment Education Club on 2nd and 4th Thursdays at Seabreeze Rec. Center. Even though the purpose of the club is to advance all types of investment knowledge, they discuss options trading a lot. You could also check Lifelong Learning College which offered a class in options trading last year, I believe.

More evidence that market sentiment seems to have changed.

I wonder if we are about to enter full throttle "greed" in the stock market?

Haha, yes I posted this sentiment in a few other recent investment threads. Telling for sure.
