Check this out and see why things were less "advanced" but so much more "elevated".... so much more friendly, so much more neighborly, and so much more fun. I remember every one of these games and playing every one of those games. I remember my father hanging out the window of our 5th floor apartment and whistling for me to get the hell home NOW!!! And, if I wasn't in that apartment within 5 minutes I might as well stay out. As the man says, there were uniformed Cops and there were "cops" in every window.

Great times. Stickball, step ball, neighbors all knowing and looking out for each other, it was great
