I knew a guy in college who was a chem major. He acquired an Erlenmeyer Flask and some tubing from the lab and made a make-shift bong. He had some goldfish and would occasionally put them in the flask prior to smoking. They would swim weird, but then be fine the next day. Those goldfish lived longer than any others my kids ever had.
