Gun ownership per household in Australia has fallen 75%

The proportion of Australians who hold a gun licence has fallen by 48 percent since 1997.

The homes that already have guns are buying more guns and now have 4 guns per licensed owner

“In the wake of John Howard’s gun reforms, the risk of an Australian dying by gunshot quickly fell by more than half – and it’s stayed that low for 25 years

The risk was low BEFORE Port Arthur...

They found a solution in search of a problem...
