They should have the great food truck race come here. How do you get the food network to come here? The food looks yummy.

first thing you do to get food truck rally is a vfw or other club must have them come and a portion of the money is donated to the cause, second you would need something like the polo field a square would not be big enough, most of these trucks are huge, our elks club brings them in every six weeks in the spring and summer and early fall, most food items are under five dollars, lots of great food and the money raised for the elks goes to the christmas fund to give a dinner and gifts to familys that would not have a christmas on their own. (this last trip raised $1927 and we only had 800 people attend)....so yes the food trucks make money but they also help people with their time and the great food

Default tacos food truck already here

My hubby and friend ate at the food truck there for the workers on the houses. It was Mexican so I guess you could say there already is an option of this sort there. BTW it was pretty spicy...not my hubs cup of tea but the other guy loved it and the price was inexpensive.

A few days ago the food truck showed up in front of our home while the works from T&D where taking their lunch break under the shade of a tree on our front lawn. (There were no canines on the crew, so I didn't have to worry about any peeing or pooping) this was the first time I've seen the truck arrive since they began work on our property. Guess the food truck will come to private individual work sites when requested along as well as the larger construction areas!

Default Food Trucks

If you go over to the construction sites on the new side they're all over the place riding from site to site. If you want a permanent site go down Buenna Vista Blvd just before the new water tower there is a luch site set up. I've eaten there. It's fresh cooked and really not bad, JMO, it'll give you a sense of how the workers survive here everyday. There are also picnic benches to sit at.

I'll never forget the smell of roasting chestnuts at Christmas time in Manhattan, coming from the small food trucks on every street corner.
My favorite food truck was the soup truck. Homemade lentil soup with a soft onion roll. Delicious !

When I was single in southern Cal, I got breakfast and lunch from the food truck - were called "roach coaches" then, don't know about now Never bought groceries.

They had healthy stuff (yogurt, fruit, cereal, salad) and not-so-healthy stuff if you were so inclined. They made the best turkey avocado melt ever.

In the 70's the couple who lived across the street from my grandmother quit their jobs and bought a food truck. then another and another...they made a fortune. Kept adding on to their house until it was a little McMansion in the middle of a normal, middle-class Atlanta suburb.

are these posters the same as the posters who decry signage and lawn ornaments because they are gaudy and devalue property in the pristine communities of the villages - now supporting the traversing of food trucks throughout the villages? and the same posters who want cars moved from parking in the streets in front of their houses and rvs/pack rat containers removed from neighbors driveways?

well, after all, food trucks are soooo attractive - and the aromas that emanate from them simply tease the olfactory senses of us all! NOT! i guess food trucks riding thru the streets of the villages is acceptable as long as they keep moving and don't park in front of your house! bet those trucks could do a number on the gates of some villages!!!!!

My intention of this thread in the "just for fun" category was to explore everyone's interest in different cuisines and to envision another fun way to enjoy the beautiful Villages and the warmth of it's residents and friends.

the food trucks they are speaking of are small pick ups with an area in the back that have always feed workers no matter where they work.. The food trucks that are used for events are as large a RVs and no they are not going to drive thru the streets of the villages they are arranged to come to an event and park, no worries
