LI Snowbird;

I know your intention was to amuse. However, I did not find these vignettes funny. Most of them contained children either driving or as passengers. I've seen very young kids driving carts around The Villages on numerous occasions and I know their reflexes can't be attuned to handling a motorized device. I hope nothing like these "accidents" happens in TV but if an auto and a golf cart have an altercation who do you think will come out the winner?

Someone will probably tell me to "lighten up". When it comes to injuries or death I don't get any lighter than this.

Agree completely with dfn8tly. I thought it was sick that people were laughing at the mishaps. That should be shown to all grandparents, parents who let kids drive their golf carts.

Anyone under the age of 14 caught driving a cart needs to be ticketed and the G-parents or parents need to be ticketed for being stupid out of season.

I'm glad you posted this.Maybe people who do let kids drive will see how easy it is to get hurt or killed driving these.

I clicked on the video thinking you had posted it for educational purposes. When I read dfn8tly's response that "your intention was to amuse", I went back to see what I had missed and realized that I did not originally see your fist line of "very funny-enjoy". Like Mudder, I agree with dfn8tly and, again like Mudder, I find it surprising that there was so much laughter in the video even though at the time of the mishap many people in the video didn't know if anyone was seriously injured. Some, but very few, of the instances were funny but the remainder were not. A couple of weeks ago, I saw a golf car come down the temporary hill by the new construction at Morse and 466. It failed to make the right turn onto the original path which leads to the tunnel facing Lake Sumter and proceeded into the field with the large trees. No injuries to the occupants or damage to the cart but the three girls, about aged 12 or so sure had a good laugh. I'm sure your posting will, in fact, serve as a reminder that (you know what) happens in a blink of an eye. Thanks for the video.

Watching this video is a warning to us all that golf carts are not toys

Note in how many of the incidents the driver or passenger puts out a hand to break the fall - natural instinct, but you break your wrist instead - many go-**** drivers put both hands through wristlets on the steering wheel so they can't put their hands out in an accident

btw, for some reason the system is putting in asterisks above when I have typed K A R T

I don't want you to think I am swearing at you :-)

Default Hope none of them retire or visit in the villages

I certainly hope that none of the individuals involved in the segments move or visit the villages. The lack of respect and responsibility was overwhelming.

Default Video won't work.

When I clicked on the video to start, the screen turned black & the words "this is private" appeared. What's going on?
