Young women who can’t cut their hair, or change their dress

Talk to your granddaughters, or great granddaughters…you might learn they need self assurance, self worth, importance in their life.

Much truth to that.

Pre-retirement, our Victim - Witness Advocate was Jeanne, a 30-ish woman who I got to know pretty well as she and I shared several clients. Very good at her job. She was also very attractive and dressed in a manner that emphasized that. Always within bounds, though, as she spent a lot of time in court and the judge was a stickler for decorum.


The amazing thing was how a lot of the other women (not all, but a lot) saw Jeanne. Her work didn't matter to them. What she looked like, did, and from the remarks by some of the other women I overheard or were made to me, it was not entirely complimentary. I never quite understood that.

I gave the article a quick read.

The idea of women walking in a group for safety and to meet new people is a good one, but………..

The use of the words “hot girls” with the phrase’s connotation was done for the purpose of titillation, and sure enough, that’s what it got.

While claiming to be inclusive, the name of their group screams exclusive.

Additionally, later in the article, it talks about the attention paid to brands of $hoes, logo$, etc.

This took a good idea — walking for safety and socialization — and threw in wording to get lots of attention and hits, with the real goal of becoming an influencer.

Titillation also seems to have been the goal of starting this thread, with the undertone of ageism directed at women to boot.

PS: I am of the opinion that putting this thread under “Just for Fun” does not excuse all the between-the-lines implications. But being a nice lady, I will cut the OP a little slack and just conclude thoughtlessness was the problem. And I am not really self-righteous, just thought this one needed calling out.
