Is your A/C keeping up in the heat? Can you bring it down to 72?

Nope, running constantly in the afternoon to maintain 79.

SECO tried to pre-cool before the 4PM peak demand throttling but it stayed at 79 and then rose to 83 during the off cycle. Ecobee data below.

Second chart is Sense over night power, the AC used roughly 2,200W for 10 min cycles about three times per hour @ ~80 degrees exterior avg overnight.

It's so hot I saw an Amish guy buy an air conditioner.

It’s so hot that I renamed my pig “Bacon.”

It’s so hot that I’m using Celsius instead of Fahrenheit just to have a lower number.

When it becomes uncomfortable in the afternoon we bail out of ecobee for the day

Hotter than a Stihl chainsaw in a Kentucky pawn shop.

We got here yesterday and have experienced what is reported as the two hottest days of the year so far in north central Florida. Bring it on! It doesn’t seem any hotter than what we had last week up north. Unlike up north, we have central air conditioning and a pool in the Villages and can travel about in a golf cart with the breeze in our face. Besides the frequent threat of intense lightning, it’s beautiful outside. Everything is green and tropical smelling and the place is like a ghost town compared to busy season. Very much enjoying this time of year : ) The only thing that we’re not happy about are the friggin relentless weeds that have taken over our flower beds, erggggg!

In the South they have discovered a way to eliminate the weeds. It is called weeding the garden.

Default Not as hot as past

It isn’t as hot as summers in the past, but it’s warm. 1990 and 2015:hold the record.
