I was sitting at the Cane Gardens bar the other evening when I witnessed the oddest thing.

A guy was sitting alone, looking forlornly at his drink when some burly, trouble-making big dude strides up next to him, bumps him aside, grabs the drink, and gulps it down in one swig.

The mean dude turned to the startled man and snarled "Well, whatcha' gonna do about it?"

The man simply burst into tears, which caught the mean dude off-guard.

"Come on, man," the mean dude stammered, "I've had a rough day. I was just looking to take it out on someone but I didn't think you'd CRY."

"I can't help it", the man sobbed. "This is the worst day of my life. I was late to my part time job this morning, so my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found that my car had been stolen and I don't have any insurance. Then I left my wallet in the cab that I took home, where I walked in on my wife with another man, and as I stormed out of the house, my dog bit me."

"Yeah, well that is a pretty bad day", the mean dude conceded "but not bad enough to cry over".

"Wait a moment"' the man replied, "I'm not finished. So I walked here to my favorite bar to work up the courage to end it all. I placed my order but they ran out of my favorite tequila and because I missed Happy Hour by five minutes I had to pay full price for booze I didn't like".

"Yeah, so what...that's still not bad enough to cry about".

"I'm not quite finished", the man said, as he began collecting himself. "I dropped two cyanide-laced capsules into the drink, sat here and watched the poison powder dissolve, and then, just as I reached for the glass, you showed up and guzzled the whole thing before I could even take a sip!"

The guy then continued, "but enough about me, how's your day going?"

Are you sure that was Cane Garden where that happened?

Well, you certainly made my day. I think I encountered that bully the last time I was at Cane Garden. Thanks for the chuckle.
