Default GracieGirl for Gov

I end up with a good half hour plus driving back from visit my parents in the nursing home. As the result, I have some good thinking time.

After listening to the usual drivel about politicians, it hit me that we should start our own political party here in The Villages. We could call it the The Villages Party or maybe The Village People Party or the Town Square Party.

The obvious candidate for Gov is, in my opinion Gracie Girl. First, Gov GracieGirl has a really nice sound to it. She always has sage advice, a good sense of humor and lots of common sense.

What do you think?

That would rule her out! Politicians do not have any of that "stuff". So by definition she can't be one.

She is definitely the Governor-- so to speak-- of TOTV.

But, but . . .

She'd probably have to move out of her beautiful home here in The Villages and move into some perhaps old and decrepit Governor's Mansion in Tallahasse ... and be far away from her adoring Villages fans.

I agree that she's undoubtedly the best candidate, but I strongly oppose her leaving us all behind! :-(

Let's let the two guys battle it out while we enjoy having GG among us!

She could just have an address in Tallahassee and never be there!

I think she should be the Village Mayor and then she can stay here!

Anyone who is smart enough to be President, Governor, Representative, or Senator, is usually smart enough to avoid these posts.
