Default Comparative Military Terms

My brother sent me this list of comparative military terms. From experience, I can say that the terminology attributed to the Army branch of the services looks about right.

A Colonel in the Marine Corps is called a Colonel(or bird colonel)(ask my father). A captain in the Corps is sometimes called skipper(not because of being the skipper of a craft, but because he's the skipper of a company). The captain of a ship(while at times is a Lt. Cmdr)is called skipper.

I'm guessing that you didn't take a good look at the list.

One more thing FYI..... I heard you had to be 6 foot tall to join The Coast Guard. That way you could walk ashore if your ship sank.

My dad would have loved this list except that Army ALWAYS comes first.
