I saw something on GMA yesterday but missed the story -- just saw a pic of the girl after the catch. Had no idea what was going on but it didn't sound like they were talking about a commercial. However, knowing baseball, there is no way a ball girl/boy would interfere with a possible play like that (unless it was a foul ball -- wasn't watching that closely).

Alas, according to snopes.com .... this is digital trickery and an ad for Gatorade. It was cute and convincing though. Gotta get me some of that Gatorade.

Thanks, 07. Definitely a brilliant commercial and kudos to the ad person who thought of it. But I kinda feel like when I discovered St. Nicklaus wasn't real -- I knewin my heart but I wanted it to be real.

![]() ![]() I'm feeling the same way. It was such a remarkable catch and I was so taken back while watching it that I never noticed the Gatorade next to her chair until now. Another one of life's disappointments... ![]() |
