Default Pokemon Go Game App

I just downloaded game app to phone. I don't know how to play it, but it looks like fun. Has anyone else here in TV downloaded app and is playing it? TV seems like it is a perfect arena in which to play, and it's supposed to be great walking exercise for the user!

A word of caution, there are some very serious concerns about privacy (this app has access to a LOT of information on your phone), and safety. See the article in todays Daily Sun. Also, there was a previous article, and there are apparently 3 or more 'hot' spots in TV, one of the rec centers, Brownwood, and Lake Sumter landing, if I recall correctly.

Thanks! From what I've read and heard on news, the app update yesterday fixed the major security concerns re gmail email account access. I was waiting for those security breaches to be repaired before I downloaded app.

I just checked my Google/gmail acct privacy settings and, as I stated above, the PokemonGo app has minimal info from acct:

"View your basic profile information:

"These apps have access to basic data from your account, like your name, email, gender, or country. You might also see that the app can "Sign you in using your Google Account." That means that you can sign in to these apps with your Google username and password as long as you’re signed in to Google, saving you the hassle of remembering new passwords or creating a new account."

Default Beware idiots

Just read an accident report in local Auburn NY online newspaper about a guy who drove into a tree chasing a Pokemon Go critter. His car looked awful; he was dazed but ok, and I'm sure the tree saved the homeowners a drive-thru wreck, since it occurred on a residential street.
Hopefully, people will not be driving golf carts/cars while playing.....
