Either the squirrel is paralyzed with fear, or he is pretty unflappable.

Default Feeder stare

He is focused on the bird feeder. We had to go to metal feeders to stop them.

I know...just posted for fun.

By the way, how do metal feeders stop squirrels? I know metal would be more slippery, but would it have be a certain shape or anything to stop them?

We had one that was squirrel proof. It cost $60 20 years ago, but it was worth it. If a bird landed on the rung to eat, it stayed open. If anything heavier landed on the rung, it slipped down and closed off access to the seed.

Great video, Polar Bear!
