Btw, speaking of Mrs K, I assume she's working again today? So what's for dinner? NOTHING?

Yep. Her weekend to work. She'll have Monday and Tuesday off. Then I'll place myself available Wednesday night. NOTHING but back to the fire grind..

Darn, is there NOTHING we can do to stop you? Will this work ? It's all I got - lol

Glad to hear that Mrs K has off a couple of days with you. Hope you don't have too much work to do yourself at the office those 2 days. If we miss you, we know she surely misses you more. You shouldn't make yourself so missable......lol

The only thing that will keep me from going out is this little respiratory thing I have going on. The smoke kinda got to me the last couple of days. Not sure if I got a whiff of some burning poison oak or what but I have NOTHING but a sore throat.

As much as Mrs. K. misses me it's her mother that worries herself sick when I'm out.

I can only imagine how bad he smoke is since they reported seeing it on the east coast. I don't imagine the heat from the fire does your respiratory system any good either. NOTHING but a lousy job but without you guys there would be NOTHING left.

Aww.....NOTHING like a mother-in-law that loves you.

About the respiratory thing, yeah, that's not good. Just ask Nucky. If you're not 100%, you better wait to go back out. You're not getting any younger you know, even if you are still a young buck to some. Plus inhaling that smoke, no matter what age, can't be good. What else can I say to convince you to stay home.....lol

Salt water gargles might help with the sore throat for now until you see if it progresses to anything else. Lozenges help but mainly just for the dryness. I will tell you though, I often keep Sucrets brand (you remember those?) lozenges on hand because I actually think they help a little more if the sore throat is really painful versus just scratchy.

I put a cough drop in my mouth last night before I went to bed. Woke up this morning with NOTHING but a red pillow and my mustaches was glued together..

The smoke has been NOTHING but bad. On the west side of the state which usually has good air quality due to being close to the coast had the worst air quality ever recorded (for here) one day last week due to the smoke from our fires and smoke drifting down from Canada.

Lol.....thank goodness at least you didn't choke to death! If it bothers you to sleep, try taking some ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen (Aleve), but make sure you take it at least a good hour before laying down with a little something to eat and a full glass of water. That's if you're allowed to take those kinds of meds. Some people with stomach issues and heart issues shouldn't. You could take Tylenol instead, but it will only relieve pain while the other 2 relieve pain AND inflammation which is obviously the usual cause of pain in a sore throat.

Okay, that's enough or I'm going to have to do NOTHING but start charging you and your bill is already pretty high with the things you owe me or are going to owe me.

Yeah, I was thinking you've pretty much got it made. NOTHING but a lucky man you are......

I always told my son if you're going to get married, marry a nurse or a teacher. A nurse for obvious reasons and a teacher for if you have kids because they are generally home in the summer. I guess a pharmacist isn't so bad either. At least I was able to bring in a decent income when my son was little by working part-time around my husband's hours. Whereas most of my friends found it wasn't worth it to work because their entire salaries would have been spent on daycare expenses. I don't know how young people do it today.

Telecommuting is NOTHING but a wonderful thing as are flex hours. I could work any hours I wanted which sometimes included nights and weekends for some projects but I did it from home with my dog under my desk.

Yes, another wonderful option which seems to be becoming more commonplace.

On another note, good grief, going outside of NOTHING can truly be dangerous. I was lurking on some of the other threads and was tempted once or twice to chime in. Glad I didn't though. Seems I can cause enough commotion right here in NOTHINGVILLE - no need to venture out there. Daggers flying left and right it seems. Is it raining down there or something? I know it's been a miserable day up here. Enough to make anybody cranky, I guess. Hubby and I got out for a short walk earlier today but that was about it. He keeps saying he's going to the gym but made the mistake of laying down on the couch as he was saying it......

Yup it's a jungle out there and I have been burned enough now to stay out. I have been tempted to say things I knew I would regret but decided I would miss you guys in NOTHING and decided it wasn't worth it.
