Women with knives make me very nervous. I was going to make the moves on a lover and she was cleaning some knives and boy did she make me nervous. It NOTHING but kills the mood. This was after law school.

My best friend in college got stabbed in the chest area about six times and was dead for about five minutes but they got him back. He was hitting on a married woman with a brothel about five miles away, if that. (Mustang Ranch) So the jury found pretty much for the outraged husband who was in a fit of jealous rage. My friend would sometimes take his shirt off in the University of Nevada, Reno cafeteria to show off these wounds. He was quite the player and stayed that way according to his ex-wife whom I met on Facebook when I was trying to find out what happened to him. I made some comment about him and she replied and I asked her "How would you know that?" and she said that "I am his ex-wife".

He had been seeing a married woman the last I saw him after he asked me politely to leave when she knocked on his door while I was checking up on how he was recuperating from the stabbing.

Ironically, it was me that was more upset with the Raiders of the Lost Ark scene where Indiana Jones faces the man with the large sword or knife in the market square. I was getting really nervous as I thought the weapon might bring back post traumatic memories but my friend thought it was hilarious when Indy shot the villain.

This man was a fellow University of Nevada, Reno Philosophy major and was often trying to get me in trouble. I do not think he has changed all that much either according to his friends on Facebook. He does not do Facebook. His antics are rather legendary.

I am the ultimate SISSY MARY about flying. Picture NOTHING other than this, my mother who I, we adore was reported to us by my sister to not make it another 24 hours so I better bury my foolishness and get on the next Freddie FudPucker Airline Flight and get my fat beep to Austin. I said a prayer got a good nights sleep and then drove to Austin Texas, Mom lived another ten years after that. I know statistically flying is safer, they still won’t let me fly the NOTHING plane.

I was a SISSY MARY about snakes but that was all for NOTHING. Santa 6 PM tomorrow. Can’t wait, I’ll fool these little Curtain Climbers, that’s a good one K-Man. Goodnight to all yous NOTHING’S.

Up and at 'em early and out the door soon. Not a long day at work, thank goodness, but it will be a long day for us in general. We will go to my husband's cousin's house this evening to celebrate the feast of the 7 fishes with all the cousin's on the one side of his family. It's a lot of people - NOTHING like my family which you can count on 2 hands.

I won't complain about getting up so early this morning. My husband had to get up an hour earlier than me. He and his ministry friends have been working 10+ hour days these last 3 days getting ready for their big Christmas event today. There will be hundreds of very happy children in Camden, NJ today. I was just looking at the map of their location this year. It is quite an operation - the positioning of the tractor trailers, the food court, the bicycle yard, etc. It will be the one thing that will be difficult for my husband to leave when we move to Florida. In fact, it may be the primary reason why we keep both houses for awhile. The ministry as a whole is a huge act of love that he thoroughly enjoys being a part of. Without a doubt it has taught both of us over the years the true meaning of the expression "in giving you receive".

And on that note, here's wishing you all a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.

There are many hungry children here in Florida and many ministries that will love to have him. Many Villagers are volunteers and donate both time and money. He will NOTHING but love it here.

Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas as well.

Amen. NOTHING but a wonderful way of simply stating what the celebration of Christmas is really all about.

Alex and June. A profound first post and grateful to have it posted right here on NOTHING. Glad I caught your message before running out the door. Words to stand on and carry throughout the day.

Did I mention the Memorial Day 1983 mudslide at Slide Mountain where I was working at the Bower's Mansion concession stand? NOTHING but quite a sight when driving all the way around Washoe Valley and the mud had blocked my exit to the North. I was working with my boss the last day for this partnership of various food service ventures in the Reno-Washoe Valley area and that happens. Quite an exit. I was on my way to the U of Denver soon after that to start my studies on my MA in Librarianship. The other partner whom I had discussed crime and punishment a lot with later became the warden at the Nevada Prison in Lovelock. Place where OJ Simpson was kept.

I knew this man for a long time as I think I worked for them from around 1977-1983. We, of course, did talk about the Michelle Mitchell 2-24-1976 murder and its investigation quite a bit. He was very well read in criminology, sociology, and related subjects. I also hope he looks at NOTHING from time-to-time.

1983 Memorial Day Flash Flood, Part I - Tahoe Weekly

Memorial Day Flash Flood, Part II - Tahoe Weekly

All of this would make quite an interesting movie.

I had worked as a dishwater for a few weeks in 1977 at the Rapscallion at nights, quit and got a job with this partnership. I managed the Bower's Mansion concession stand the rest of that summer. The Rapscallion had just opened. Rapscallion: A 2nd happy hour if you miss the 1st one

Pretty slow for NOTHING.

Watching the details in The Equalizer 2 today carefully on Blu-Ray. My brother and sister-in-law used to live in an area of VA where they would sometimes run into Denzel Washington. They probably were not on a first name basis though. The first movie I saw with this 2nd wife of his was when they were on a date before they married and I tagging along and we all went to Glory. Mr. Denzel Washington is in that and has a minor but rather important role in that very good movie. Glory Movie Review & Film Summary (1989) | Roger Ebert

Glory (1989) - Rotten Tomatoes
Some of the details in The Equalizer were great. As are those in many of the Denzel Washington movies. Denzel Washington - Rotten Tomatoes

Antwone Fisher (2002) - Rotten Tomatoes

Anyway we now have 209, 757 views as of 12/24/2018 8:42 AM EST. Christmas Eve!!

Probably. I think we've heard all of your stories at least a few times. But that's what makes NOTHING go 'round..
