We wanted to go to Pet Smart yesterday to buy all the stuff to give him a proper bath but never made it because of the coming and going of his visitors.

The sweetest visitor was my friend's mom who just returned from the Northeast from a 3 or 4-month visit for the Holidays with the rest of her family. On the trip in their car on the way back to The Villages her Precious pup of 19 1/2 years was struggling. Recently Mom had spent a Mint on her baby but I guess you can't beat Mother Nature. She spoke with me privately because I always showed an interest in her pup as did her Son and D.I.L. really her Daughter, they are very close. She told me how badly she was hurting but handled it outwardly a thousand times better than I did. She asked me to take care of Luca the same as she saw us take care of her dog and Our Barney. I promised I would and asked if she was open to visits from Luca. Momentarily she brightened up. What a beautiful women she is. and our Hearts are Broken for her and her Family.

Mom is I believe 91 years old and the nicest person and smart as a whip and great to listen to her stories. Her memory is way better than mine. NOTHING but another perfect Villages moment. NOTHING like this ever happened in N.J.

The bed they gave LUCA is made for a St Bernard or a Greyhound. We'll donate and have little Nappy Spots for him all over the place. He actually likes his Cage, Container, Box, I don't know what you call it but he'll be paroled shortly. He's either in the family or not in the family. We never put a family member in a cage except for My Uncle Leo. Locked in the basement once he had a couple.

Some dogs like their crates and feel safe and comfortable in them. My dog used to go to it when he was stressed or wanted to be left alone. When we moved down here we did not have room for it and so now he curls up under my desk. It makes it NOTHING but hard to type sometimes.

I would put Butterscotch in her crate every night as she liked to chase the two cats around at night and they really hated it. And she loves that cage. Butterscotch is a long time neighbor's son's pooch whom I watched for ten days or so a short time ago.

Had to figure out ways to prevent Butterscotch from getting at the cats' food even though it was up on a counter. Butterscotch would figure out a way to stretch and get at the cat food and not for NOTHING.

My dog Beau used to be in a crate too as he was living with seven dachshunds. The foster care people kind of just took dachshunds but invited Beau in as well. He was pretty skinny when we got him from Max's Pet Connection.

You could blame the Doggie if you forget a NOTHING. He was bugging you by being under the desk. I'm sure that would get you a pass. Only a heartless so & so wouldn't give you a pass, I certainly would.

What a Ding Bat I was for not getting this little Lover a while back. Now for the CYV. SHHHH I better keep that one low for a while.

I was all set to take my Dad to a doctor this morning and he has stomach problems so that was put off for a while. That happens a lot to all of us because of all the stress we got and not for NOTHING. I keep quiet about a great deal that is going on as to not stress them out even more. They only watch Family Feud, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and the talking heads of Fox News. ABC Nightly News too. My Mom is often too fuzzy to drive so I have to do that to much of the time. We can and do bring our great neighbors into help as well.

Even the dog is often upset because he picks up on the stress.

Visits from friends and family help though. And I am cultivating various friendships with nurses some of whom are used to dealing with fuzzy people.

I'm so sorry Tal. Right now I am pretty much stress free but I know from experience that changes in a heartbeat. I do NOTHING but hope things get better for you.

Me too. It would be a nice change of pace and not for NOTHING.

NOTHING helps quite a lot. And we do have great neighbors whom we, for the most part, have known since 2005. A few new move-ins but they seem OK too.

Good Morning, Everyone.. Having a hard time keeping up with NOTHING this morning.. Nucky, Glad Luca is making himself at home. The whole crate/kennel thing is normal. When we had a dog he would sleep in his at night. He would even close the door. It's like a doggy fort.. lol

Our dogs always had crates too. When we had our first one, we would keep the door open and she would lie in it even when we were all just sitting around watching TV. Unless hubby or our son was lying on the floor then she was right there snuggled up against them. Our second one would automatically go to hers when she sensed we were leaving the house. I would call it NOTHING but their doggie cave. I definitely think it is how you train them from the beginning. Ours never jumped up on the furniture either, nor would my husband ever allow them to sleep with us. Maybe that would make us not real dog people to some, but our pets were always well behaved and well loved.

The SPCA where we got one of ours told us if you set the example from the beginning as to who was in charge, the pack leader so to speak, most behavior issues would be short lived. They were right. Not much different than having a kid in that respect. And just like Tal said they sure can pick on stress and anxiety quite easily. They are truly amazing creatures.

All this talk is doing NOTHING but make me want to get another. My husband came home one Saturday from his ministry work not too long ago and told me one of the people he works with there breeds the various "doodle" mixes. Although she sells them for thousands, she offered him one from the litter for free. I felt myself getting excited about the prospect when I asked him if he really wanted one and he said "no, not really". So I responded, "good, then I'm going to pretend I never heard you say that"........ That's the closest I've come as of late.

No, he looked like this but without so much white. He was NOTHING but a teddy bear. Should have named him Nucky.. lol
