Back from my appointment. Although I was armed with a thick file of medical records on my hip, they took a new x-ray. The orthopedist reviews the images and looks at us and says "I'm sorry but I have bad news. You will need nothing less than a total hip replacement." (Right Total Hip Arthroplasty).

Bad News!?! -- That's the greatest news I've had in a month. How soon doc? Can you do it today? Tomorrow? Next week?

So I am scheduled for the middle of March. That gives me two more months to try to lose as much weight as possible. I am a happy camper!

And Tal, we are all so relieved. Can't thank you enough for taking the time to check in. When one becomes an official part of the NOTHING family we can really be a PIA when anyone goes missing, but not in a bad way. It's only because we care and worry about one another. So happy to get back from my shopping and find out so much good stuff has happened in NOTHING. We were actually shopping to fill gift baskets for the Lions Club Chinese Auction but shopping is shopping and it was still fun.

Luca must have had NOTHING but a rough life. He escaped the cage and it's too sad but I have to sleep on this one and think it over, he attacked both of us when we came in the house and did some other damage. What a shame. Should have named him NOTHING but Dr, Jekyll. He great with us normally. I'm confused now so let's see what the morning brings. Maybe its the medicine that's making him flip out. That's NOTHING but sad to hear. Hopefully he realizes the chance he's been given before it's too late.

Boy, how a day can turn. From joy over good news from some friends to the heart wrenching of others. Nucky, I'm so sorry. This last turn of events is, as K said, NOTHING but sad all the way around. You know we stand with you and believe you are doing all you can to make this work. Any pup would be lucky to have owners as caring and loving as you and Mrs Nucky. Praying that no matter what happens, you find peace in the situation and in your decision and know that we are here for you.

Today is Wednesday, January 16th. I am at a loss for words because my heart is so heavy for my friend.......see you all later tonight.

My prayers are nothing but the same for you, Dear Friend.

So sorry to hear about your problems with Luca. I think this is something you need to discuss with your vet or maybe put a post in All About Pets to see if you get any suggestions. There may be someone there that has experience with this. We are NOTHING but with you whatever you decide.

We leave the Dog Channel on for him and the ceiling fan on low and a light on so he isn't scared. He bent and bit the cage and got out. I think he thinks we're not coming back. There is no way we are going to give up on him. He needs us, and we need him. For such a little guy to freak out like that is shocking. Good to know the little ankle biter has the house on lockdown while we're out. I'm going to take him to our Vet today and see what we can do for him. After the decision process to get him I'm not gonna give up NOTHING but easily. And the Dog He Stays! For now.
