Good morn.......I mean, afternoon, everyone! I was out doing the doctor thing myself this morning. Praying Mrs N's test results provide some answers and NOTHING but good ones at that.

I usually limit myself to 2 cups a day, maybe a decaf later in the day. I got into trouble with drinking too much when I was in my late 20's and working 10-12 hour days. Started having problems with rapid heart beat. When I went to get checked out by a cardiologist he could find NOTHING wrong and suggested that excessive caffeine was probably the issue. I can't drink that much now because my stomach can't take it.

You're the smart one, Tal. I should probably quit all together but I enjoy having something hot in the morning and sometimes tea does an even worse job on my stomach than coffee, believe it or not.

I love tea. However it always makes me nothing but nauseous unless I drink it with something hearty to eat. Yet I have no problem with coffee on an empty stomach.

We are all so different, aren't we?

My roommates in my 2nd and 3rd year of law school as well as Jenny my live in girlfriend after I graduated from the U of MN used to admonish me a lot about all the Coca-Cola and Mountain Dew I drank. Not for NOTHING as I had to go to just diet non caffeinated for the most part about six years ago. Still have a regular Coca-Cola after donating platelets or blood as a treat but try to stay away from it as much as possible.

I am wondering how Jenny's Class of 1990 30th Re-Union will go. Some of her classmates have been Facebook friends of mine for a long time. I was at the U of MN Law library from around 1988 through mid-1991. So, I met a lot of law students. They have about 250 people in each law school class.

I have not had much contact with Jenny since she got married around 1993. Used to write he every once in a while before that happened. Jenny was big on Shakespeare and the like being the daughter of a Wisconsin circuit theater actress who often worked in Shakespeare plays.

I would be interested in her take on a lot of stuff as I shared a great deal with her as well as some with the law school roommate who I had the 2nd year. I had a Korean Medical Professor as my third year law student roommate in a big dorm-- Middlebrook Hall on the U of MN campus. He was getting a 2nd Ph.D to go with his MD and first Ph.D. He teaches medical students and others at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.

Sometimes there's just NOTHING better than a mechanic who goes out of their way to help you out. My guy was able to get me these batteries for $260 each. I needed three..

His family owns a local dairy farm and he does truck work on the side. NOTHING but a good old boy..

Isn't it great to have those kind of connections? My husband has a friend who is truly an auto mechanic genius. Whenever there's a job my husband can't do himself he takes the car to his friend. This guy has saved us hundreds, no probably thousands, of dollars in car repairs. We're going to NOTHING but miss him when we move. Now that I think of it, he's probably the biggest reason we keep running these old cars which in itself has saved us tons of money on both purchasing cars and insurance.

Hey Tal, that info about the Blood is interesting and helpful. I have more than enough to give even if I spilled a little of my own over the next few days by mistake. I have to go in and be screened first so the process is underway either tomorrow or Monday. NOTHING but thanks for helping a brother out. I never knew or really though about how much blood the human body holds. Wow!

Why are some people called Blue Bloods? Is it just a saying or are they special? Do they get away with things that others can't? Are they royalty? If it has a bad meaning I don't know. I could Goo Goo this stuff but you esplain it more better!

'Blue blood' - the meaning and origin of this phrase

I found this NOTHING but interesting.

Quote:
'Blue blood' is a literal translation of the Spanish 'sangre azul'. This was the designation attributed to some of the oldest and proudest families of Castile, who claimed never to have intermarried with Moors, Jews, or other races. The expression probably originated in the blueness of the veins of people of fair complexion as compared with those of dark skin.

NOTHING fact of the night -

What is the difference between cement and concrete? Although the terms cement and concrete often are used interchangeably, cement is actually an ingredient of concrete. Concrete is a mixture of aggregates and paste. The aggregates are sand and gravel or crushed stone; the paste is water and portland cement.

Don't ever mix the 2 up again!! I learn so much on here........thank you, Nucky.
