That could very well be. NOTHING good seems to last forever, in this world anyway. Certainly gives me reason to take a look at other options next time around.

So speaking of all of this, if we were considering a new vehicle for Florida, would you guys suggest buying it here, meaning up north, before our move or just wait until we get there. I'm thinking about the cost of transferring licenses and all that goes with moving from one state to another. What has been your experience? Look forward to your responses unless you know NOTHING - had to get that in there somehow.

Didn't I say I was going to the gym? See you all a little later - lol.

I fly when I go away. More often then not it's less expensive then driving and safer. I only drive 3k a year now not 12k or more when I was working. If I need something moved that's big I can rent a truck at lowes or home depot for $20 if I'm quick. So 95% of the time my car is the right size. $20 is practically nothing. I think a little car is safe if you only go 30 mph 90% of the time.

We brought our cars down and the found out that they were NOTHING but unsuitable for our new lifestyle and ended up getting rid of the both. Maybe you want to live here for a while before you decide what you might like unless you are going to need to have them shipped which is very expensive.

We still travel quite a bit outside of TV, like Disney, so like something comfortable. It does NOTHING but depend on your lifestyle.

Abby10 09-02-2018 09:30 AM

NOTHING but good advice on here - thank you!

We both would be very happy with a small car with good gas mileage (not to mention more garage space!) when we both live full-time in TV, but I know at least for the years we are able we will be traveling back north every year. The plan is during the summer months we will go back to visit family which extends from Philadelphia to New England and then swing back down through western PA before heading back to Florida. I can't see flying up and renting a car for a month or two. So that's why the NOTHING dilemma about what our next car should be.

Do you have to put the car in the garage? Do you need to be concerned about gas millage when you won't be driving all that much?
I think it's exciting moving, you can rethink everything to nothing at all.

So good lumbar support should be high on your list of requirements. We drove for 2 days straight to get here and the only thing that made it tolerable were the good seats. NOTHING I would ever want to do again but we had the 2 dogs. Now if we drive up north we take our time but still appreciate good seats.

Nucky 09-02-2018 10:14 AM

It was dirt cheap to register our leased vehicle in Florida. I was NOTHING but shocked. Maybe under $200. It was considerably more if it was a vehicle you owned.

I agree with tomwed about safety in a small car. I don't give it a thought really. As long as we both are comfortable. I want this to be the last car if it's a purchase so I am limited to Toyota, Hyundai, Honda. If its a lease anything will work.

I was supposed to see the dealer in N.J. while we were up there and blew it off, I wish I didn't. The problem would have been solved in an hour. All in all Mrs. Abby I would buy at home and pay the freight down here on the registration. Is Reedman's still in business up that way?

There is no way the last Fords I leased would give me good service for 10 years. Sorry but it's true.

fw102807 09-02-2018 10:34 AM

Good luck you guys on whatever you decide. Buying a car is not a fun thing to do and is NOTHING but a very big investment. We knew exactly what we wanted and when we saw it at the dealership it was already sold so we said we would wait until they got another one in. A few days later they called us and said that the people's financing had fallen through and if we were still interested the car was ours. We took that as a sign and then when they said they would pay us (which we knew they would have to do) the deal was sealed.

All questions to consider. I hate buying a new car and not garaging it but that's because I usually keep a car for next to forever. And I dislike even more paying for gas. So they probably aren't absolutes just unanswered questions at this point. I think fw has a point about living with what you have until you really know what it is you need. That's probably when NOTHING but the best answer will come to you.

An absolute yes about the lumbar support and seating comfort. That will be a big consideration if we're going to make that drive every year.

I would thank you both for NOTHING but I can't. Thanks instead for all the tips to consider. :)

About small cars and safety, I've check that out. You might be very surprised at the crash tests of some small cars. Not all are made alike and some hold up very well. On the other hand, my nephew and 2 of his friends were all killed in a large SUV rollover due to what would normally be an insignificant maneuver turning the wheel so as not to hit something in the road. I won't mention the manufacturer but there was a large payout to the families. We have had 2 other car accidents where deaths have occurred in either mine or my husband's families. Honestly, the size of the vehicle didn't matter. Only one of the 3 was a small car.

Anyway, here's the new and improved(?) Reedman's -

https://www.reedmantoll.com/

Here is a big Toyota dealer near me -

Toyota Dealer Glen Mills PA New & Used Cars for Sale near Wilmington PA - Team Toyota of Glen Mills

Buy your car from either place and I will NOTHING but drive it down to you. No problem. I'm sure I can beat the freight rate and hopefully it will get there in one piece. :icon_wink:

Abby10 09-02-2018 01:07 PM

Sorry, K, car talk takes NOTHING but a lot of words.

fw102807 09-02-2018 03:00 PM

SUVs are prone to rollovers from all manufacturers since they have a high center of gravity and short wheel base. Safety ratings are done between two similar vehicles with same weight so a small car with a good safety rating is as compared to another small car. It is all NOTHING but very confusing and difficult and a lot of the reviews are very conflicting.

Sounds great as long as there is NOTHING for a hood emblem. You know what I mean. Reedman, always made a phone call the day after the visit. The same line every time, what can I do to earn your business? Well, let see I drove an hour and a half yesterday and you didn't earn it so go scratch. Wish I had the guts to buy a used car from Carvana.

Is there any penalty for an undersized NOTHING?

You're doing NOTHING but great there Mrs. Fw & tomwed. Maybe we can take this act on the road and make a couple of shells. There are so many opportunities for humor that would get me ejected from Florida on this thread. I have to NOTHING but remember its a family station.

It hit me like a V8 commercial. Go to Consumer Report. I have lived by it my entire life when I have difficulty with a decision. They charge about $7 for access online for a month. I'll be busy tonight.

We went for a ride down to Fenney tonight, I'm impressed with the amount of land that they are preparing. It is progress and like it or not its happening and the really nice thing is The Villages is doing it and not some NOTHING company who could go belly up in the middle of a project that size. Bravo. Happy for those living down there. :clap2:

I don't get the scare tactics of some people. I'm not saying they are wrong but it's almost like I got mine so others deserve NOTHING. Doesn't work for me. The people I spoke with were happier than a clam at high tide. I love it.

We were at the Altar on the Fenney thing several months ago and decided against for the time being. I need to remember the accumulation mode is NOTHING but over. Stay put and relaxificate. :blahblahblah: Especially now that we are totally $$ DONE $$ with N.J.

I hope our missing contestants are doing fine. That includes the one who is not active with us right now.

NOTHING funnier than George Costanza getting caught short so to speak and saying you have to account for shrinkage due to swimming and cold water. I better stop now so I don't get kicked out, only about a million jokes on this subject. Of course, I can't identify first hand. :super: :1rotfl:

Up early again this morning. Can't seem to turn off this biological clock inside me.

Today is Monday, September 3rd. One more day after today and the K-man will be on his way home. Wednesday will be NOTHING but a happy day for many, especially for him and Mrs K. Stay safe, brother. The end is in sight.

NOTHING like 40mph winds to start the day. Except it’s not even 4:00 yet.

It can’t come soon enough. I just heard some porta potties blow over. These are NOTHING but the strongest winds I’ve seen on this fire. There’s going to be a lot of ruined tents to see when the sun comes up i have a feeling.

Nope. NOTHING doing on the sleep front. We’re getting gusts up to 54mph. So far. I’m starting to worry about my tent staying upright if this continues. They say it’s rated for 70mph but I’d rather not test it.

It would be nice if they could blow the fire out but I am sure that's not how it works. NOTHING but Labor Day today and you are the one who is laboring for us. Stay safe.

Darn, I'm sorry to hear that. Aside from being concerned that you might blow away, I'm hoping you can stay alert enough today to keep your wits about you. We will expect less than NOTHING from you tonight. You will probably come home and crash.

One thing I feel confident about you is that you seem to be very prepared but I'd rather the tent not be tested either. Hope you have more than your NOTHING on just in case.....lol

Depending on how the winds are blowing up on the fire this could create NOTHING but problems. Might even trigger evacuations again.
