P.S. Thurston Howell III owns a home in The Villages. He is a Valued food critic and the taxes and amenities fees on his expansive estate are paid up for 60 years in advance. Almost like he knew he would be shipwrecked on W Island. Possible reality Television show idea??? Don't say no because as we know and prove daily Nothing is possible. I mean Anything. Sorry I'll try harderer.

I changed my breakfast to Honey Nut Cheerios this morning and feel energized. It is the Medley Crunch Whole Grain Variety. I have heard that a Light Bulb is always brightest just before it goes out. I hope not cause I have a whole lot of teasing left to do and take. :1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

There is no doubt that our "Little Buddy" can outrun anyone on the Island except Mrs Howell, she was a star in Track & Field magazine sometime in the early 1960's. She was also the #1 National Javelin Catcher from 1958 till 1962. That' why she's in charge of catching fish with a spear. Very seldomly are these tidbits mentioned but additionally Mrs. Howell was the Centerfold in Field & Streams & Popular Mechanics in the July 1958 editions.

She has a thing for mechanically inclined recently retired men and will set a snare for our boy somewhere on the Wioooootteee Island!

Nucky on NOTHING's Island. :beer3: I have chatted with the actress who played Mary Ann on Facebook a little bit. Not recently though. She is from Reno, Nevada and was Miss Nevada around 1959. 1959 Miss Nevada Dawn Wells | Miss Nevada We did not talk about the NOTHING thread nor about anything she would remember.

Henryk 05-24-2018 03:30 PM

Have you seen the articles against rinsing kitchenware ultimately destined for the dishwasher anyway?

I knew NOTHING of the sort!

Yes, I have heard that before, but it seems to be especially true for the newer dishwashers. I just wonder how new. We still rinse up north because we have a septic system on this property so I don't need to be asking for any problems. Besides, our dishwasher here is old and I wouldn't trust it. If it was up to my husband everything would be handwashed, but I say NO, NOTHING, NADA to that.

Yep.. Us country folk with septic systems have to be a little more careful. Besides, with just the two of us, we don't run the dishwasher but maybe once every four or five days. If we didn't rinse the dishes things would start to smell NOTHING but unpleasant.

You're not trying to stir up any trouble with your references to Mary Ann now, are you? :icon_twisted:

Wasting water has been a thing for me since I started paying the bill. My wife spray's bleach on the dishes before she hand washes them and only recently started using our dishwasher every couple of day's.

Everyone except me would start the shower water then brush their teeth, brush their hair, straighten up the bathroom or something while letting the water warm up. Nothing good about that. I shave with cold water which turns to warm water which brings the warm water towards the bathroom then when I'm done get in the shower and the water is warm within seconds. I turn off the water while soaping up this beautiful Carcass and then back on with the water to rinse off. Little waste. I also turn off the light on our doorbell at night. (Only Kidding). I am now cheap I just have some habits that were implanted in me when I was young that have stuck with me.

I am going to start a Go Fund Me account so I can get a Charitable Deposit into my Nothing Account because I am still obviously having a hard time remembering to incorporate Nothing into the conversations. DAMN, DAMN, DAMN.

We have a late-breaking report about a Barrel going over Niagara Fall's with a Gigantic W painted on the side? Could it be??? Nah!

The game-plan is Nothing more than washing those dishes in the trunk of the beloved DeerMoble.

I had to prove that it is better to use the dishwasher than hand wash for disinfectant :sigh: reason. Thats when I found out about the bleach on the plates and utensil. :sigh::sigh:

It makes sense to me to save time and effort which is Nothing more than the original reason for a dishwasher. Otherwise we would be washing the dishes down at the river and living in an old van. (Saturday Night Live). :jester:

If you want to save water and energy get a tankless water heater. It only heats water when you tell it to. We have ours set to recirculate hot water at 5:00am. That way the water at the faucet is already hot when we turn it on.. But it can also have it's downside. We never run out of hot water. That can lead to NOTHING but endless showers.. lol

Don't be telling Nucky that. Now he'll be looking in Fenney for a new house again. They started putting in tankless water heaters down there in the new houses.

Speaking of Nucky, he sounds a lot like my husband who likes to, as he calls it, "make a dollar holler". I bet the 2 of them would have a blast sharing their money saving tactics. Oh boy, I'm probably asking for NOTHING but trouble.

I have mentioned Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) for a long time on Talk of the Villages as she was Miss Nevada in 1959 and lived in Reno as did I up to just after Memorial Day weekend in 1983 when I left to study to get a MA at the U of Denver Graduate School of Librarianship and Information Management. With a few return trips on school holidays and then to help my parents move from Reno, NV to Scottsdale, AZ after I had graduated and hung around to go to an American Library Convention in 1984 in Dallas, Texas.

Anyway Private Message on Facebook sent to Dawn Wells for NOTHING's Nucky. If someone comes on here claiming to be Dawn Wells and praising Nucky's creativity who also is a new poster on TOTV, it could be Dawn Wells.

I gave it a college try.

Abby10 05-25-2018 06:46 AM

Good morning everyone! Could it be NOTHING but Friday already? Yes it is! In fact, it is the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. For those who are still working, hooray for a 3 day weekend for most of you. :pepper2: For those who are retired, it doesn't matter what day it is - hip, hip, hooray! :pepper2::pepper2:

And as we approach Memorial Day, let's be mindful of all those who sacrificed everything for all of us and this great country. Although we have our differences, I hope we can all be unified in our love of country and grateful to the men and women who died to protect our freedom.

NOTHING like the USA!

Beautiful words Mrs. Abby Road. Just think of the sacrifice and Pain by those who served and the families that did without to support the Service Member. Awesome and Just unbelievable. Good People Are Grateful For What You All Have Done. Nothing has no place in this thought but the rules are the rules. (I'm Down To (98 In my Virtual Account of Missed Nothing's).

My uncle William lost an arm, a leg, and part of his skull from a German tank tree burst. These send shrapnel and shards of wood into a target. All of the other men but one were killed by the shell. This was at the Anzio landing in 1944. I took care of Bill for four months or so before a spot in the nursing home opened up and saw the effects of that shell on his body and mind in 1994. 50 years after the battle.
Battle of Anzio - Wikipedia

He would have daydreams where he would be fighting the battle again while sitting in his wheelchair in the living room. Not for NOTHING.
