You're not kidding! NOTHING but a nap for me that is. I just got in from you know where and a little bit of shopping and I forced myself to scrub down the powder room before sitting down. Now I don't know if I can even get up to go take a nap! I may fall asleep right here in this chair with my NOTHING on - lol

I did see that horrible news about the woman and baby who were killed when the tree struck their house and the husband is in the hospital. NOTHING but the worst kind of tragedy. Can't imagine what that husband/father must be going through.

Not for NOTHING but I almost can't wait until my smoke detectors need replaced when I move to TV.

You might as well have them send the medics too. I know you'll be NOTHING but fainting over all those young, hot bodies.. lol

My resident hot body does ours. I would actually need to start a fire to get the fire dept to my house. NOTHING but a blessing and a curse.

And you're awake too! I know my husband would have NOTHING to do with someone else coming and doing something like that for us. So my plan is to break both his legs first.......:1rotfl:

Heck, I'm going to call them to come out and change my smoke detector batteries. One of the leading causes of senior male trauma is NOTHING but falling off a ladder. Mrs. K won't even let me clean the rain gutters on the shop. Granted the rafters are 16' high. lol

You're a smart man to listen to that smart woman. Unless she has NOTHING but ulterior motives. What does the gutter guy look like? :evil6:

Good, then you can invite me to stop by when they come to change yours. I'll be NOTHING but waiting for your call....lol

He's right about that statistic though. I hate when my husband insists on doing stuff like that. On top of it all, he's NOTHING but afraid of heights. But his macho self says the only way to overcome a fear is to face it......and I just :ohdear:

I can just see it. We'll be having NOTHING but a block party when the fire department shows up to change the batteries.

Heights are NOTHING to be afraid of.. It's not the fall that you have to worry about. It's the sudden stop at the bottom.. lol

Now you're giving me NOTHING but great ideas. Why not share the pleasure with others? I'll wait until my husband is out of town and I'm having a girl's week at our TV residence......hmmm, now that could be fun.....lol

You can't be a firefighter and be afraid of heights. I used to watch him shovel snow off the roof and NOTHING but cringe.

You are on NOTHING but a roll tonight. :a20:

Loved your response on 3 word....I can just hear you saying that in your sternest voice - lol

I hope this gives you some relief from watching the news about the storm. Speaking of that, it reminds me of when my grandparents experienced a terrible flood where the fire company had to come and rescue them from their house. My dad was on the crew that went in and got them out. I'll never forget sitting up with my grandmother all night just watching the rain continue to come down. I remember her saying how scary it was because at least with fire there's a chance of stopping it but with rain there is NOTHING you can do once it starts.

Well, it looks like things are dying down here for the night, and I'm just plain dying, so I think i'll turn in early.

So K, when are the women expected back tomorrow? Will it affect your posting availability for the rest of the weekend? Will we have to pick up the NOTHING slack for a few days? Not complaining, just wondering......

They land around 2:30. Another 1.5 hour pick up her car and drive home.

It shouldn't hinder my availability to do NOTHING..

Another good one, fw. You certainly know how to pack a punch in just a few words. Sorta like the Kommander.......

Anyway, it's Saturday, September 15th, and I slept great last night! I'm going to try to fit in some more housecleaning and fitness today to see if that's the magic pill I need to continued good sleep. Also trying to figure out a formula to keep from getting sluggish and depressed through the upcoming winter months. I thought last winter was going to do me in. It took forever to bounce back from that harsh winter. Not for NOTHING, but not looking for a repeat. Can't control mother nature, but I can try to take some steps to work around her in an attempt to save myself.

Off to breakfast with a friend. I'll see you all a little later this morning.

SAD was a real problem for me in the winter. My body just wanted to hibernate like a bear. The stress from work was also NOTHING but a killer. I tell people that retiring and moving here was like dying and going to heaven without the dying part.

It is NOTHING but a strange thing for a full night sleep but it happened last night. All the way through no getting up for NUTTIN. It is without a doubt the melatonin I started taking again a week ago.

The alligator wrestling poops me out also Mrs. FW.

I won't say that the winters here depress me but they sure can be a nagging pain on a good attitude. lol
NOTHING but sunshine this morning but rain this afternoon to welcome Mrs. K and MIL home..

After breakfast, my friend and I walked out to see blue skies and the sun out. What a pleasant surprise! Haven't seen that in weeks which is really unusual around here. I was used to that growing up in the mountains but the people here get depressed after just 2 days of no sun.

It's not the norm to let the weather get me down, but this past winter did a number on me, probably because it dragged my husband down too. But he's ready for another one with all the wood stacked up. NOTHING will please me more the day we kiss that woodpile good-bye!

Maybe it's because you got the car dilemma settled, now you're more settled. Speaking of that, on my way home I pulled up beside a new Sonata at a red light. NOTHING but a nice looking ride you got there.

We went out for NOTHING but an Iced Coffee and a ride last night and took the van. I'm 15,000 miles under the allowance on the mileage and don't want to get those nasty Love Bugs on the new car.

Mrs. Nucky talked me into handing the Van back in early. we have a double driveway and a carport and a Golf cart Garage and it's a little tight with two cars.

The Hyundai dealer made me a great offer on the Van at the last moment but Ford makes me buy it and pay the tax and probably license it before I could trade it in. Takes the profit motive out of the deal.

Thanks for the compliment Mrs. Abby, finally a more than reasonable car that feels like a lot more than a cheapskate car!

Can you believe it I was 150 miles over on the Ford Escape I turned in in 2015 and got a bill for $30? This one is 15,000 miles under and no consideration at all. This after being true blue to Ford for close to 30 years. Feeling guilty about the other than American Car thing is leaving me slowly. I still try to buy mostly American. :bigbow:

Here's my confession - I haven't bought an "American car" since 1978. Bought Japanese in 1983 and never went back. Although probably most of the cars in my driveway now were made in America at this point anyway so I don't feel too guilty about it. And my pocketbook is NOTHING but thankful.

I wonder if Mr K is NOTHING but scurrying around the house cleaning up before the Mrs and MIL get there. Are you going to have dinner ready for them when they get there, K? Go ahead, you can tell me - I'll try not to be too jealous. :icon_wink:
