Why does chili get even better after the first night you serve it. Had some leftovers tonight and it was NOTHING but better than the day I cooked it.. From the sounds of it I won't be sampling Skyline chili any time soon.. :1rotfl:

Its the same for NOTHING but Pizza & Rice. Next day more betterer. I could go for some real hot spicey cold chili this very second.

In my house if any of the kids ever criticized the meal it wasn't good. The pickiest eaters on earth. Only a Mothers love which men think they can understand but truly have no clue about could endure such criticism. It hurt her but she never came back at any of them. I would have said something unkind, very unkind. Not my wife. An angel walking the face of the earth. (As long as I get the dog) Woof!

Talk to yous tomorrow night.:pray::pray::pray:

Wow - that is nothing but frustrating! You should call the owner (if you haven't already) and demand a discount for all your troubles dealing with them.

Good morning all you Sweet Nothings. It's a total deluge out there - it's been raining really hard for several hours now but at least it's not a hurricane. Those things really scare me.

I guess everyone is sleeping in again this morning. I logged in and there was not even 1 new post anywhere on this forum.

Good Morning Mrs. BK. We are getting ready to Tiptoe thru the Torrential Tulip. As long as it's just rain all is well. Just please no you know what until after we get back here.

I'm gonna miss you all but will check in at night after we put in a good day. Peace to everyone and don't do NOTHING I wouldn't do until I get back.

Peace Out! :)

Nucky, wishing you and Mrs Nucky a Merry Christmas, safe travels, and loads of good times with your loved ones. Only forecasting rain up here too although people from Florida keep calling us and asking about the snow. I don't know what kind of fake weather reports -lol- are going around down there but the only snow predicted up here is after Christmas and it sounds more like snow showers, which is usually NOTHING that sticks just wet.

It's Thursday, December 20th, and it's supposed to be a bright sun shiny day here with clouds moving in tomorrow..........and then the rain (not to be confused with snow :icon_wink:).

207, 204 views now as of 12/20/2018 8:37AM EST. It picked up from yesterday. :bigbow::popcorn:

Lots of new movies opening tomorrow and many of them I want to see are at the Rialto and only at the Rialto.

That was the only theater open when we moved here in June of 2005. The Old Mill Playhouse opened its doors around November of 2005.

Taltarzac725 12-20-2018 08:48 AM

Picked up a copy of the Lee Child book 61 Hours as it was the first one of his books I had read and it got me hooked on Jack Reacher stories. A bunch of people at Doggie Doo Run Run were talking about how good his books were around 2011 and I decided I better get one of them. They had really liked 61 Hours. Holly, Whit, Twila, Jane, Ed, Bill, Bob, etc. all got into discussing the merits of his books. Too bad so many of the people you meet in the Villages pass of various diseases. So many friends lost. Some of these names as well.

Decided to read it again even if I am starting to get a little pressed for time. And not for NOTHING.

I often wonder if we can read books in heaven or see the latest movies? MercyMe - I Can Only Imagine (The Movie Session - Official Music Video) - YouTube

Haha.....I was thinking the same thing. Sometimes when we talk about things we are passionate about NOTHING goes out the window. The more passionate the less NOTHING. That's why you don't see the Kommander forget his NOTHING very often. I think the only thing he's passionate about is NOTHING...... and maybe bacon - lol.

Wow -- so FW are you the nothing summons conferrer backup to Abby, who is the summons conferrer backup to K, who is the summons conferrer backup to no one? Well then, good job. I would not want that job because half the time I don't notice nothing and I wouldn't like having to proof for nothing. It's a skill that doesn't come easy to me.

I got up in the middle of the night - saw no new posts, saw the rain and then saw the bed. I didn't plan to re-sleep until now. (I don't think you can call it a nap.) LOL half the day is gone! :MOJE_whot:

BK001 12-20-2018 09:27 AM

Many, many years ago I read a study on a group of Proofreaders whereby they were given days of work to proof that had NO errors. They showed that the error free work produced far more stress than work that had errors for them to correct.

Also many, many years ago, I received a resume from a person who, in the body of the cover letter, said he was looking for a job as a Prufreader! I saved that letter in my file called nothing but "Memorable Resumes".

Well that certainly would be understandable for NOTHING but a break in your concentration.

Taltarzac725 12-20-2018 09:57 AM

I cannot get to rereading 61 Hours until after I have read Simon Scarrow's new book The Blood of Rome. This is a Macro and Cato adventure. Stories of two Roman legionnaires in the period around 42 AD to 55 AD, so far. The times under the Roman Emperors Claudius and Nero. You can get books sent almost any where in the world for free on Book Depository where I get these books shipped from Great Britain at quite a deep discount. And not for NOTHING as I like saving money.

After I read it I send them to my older brother who also likes stories of ancient Rome. He has actually been touring Rome a few times. Me, I still do not even have a passport. Just been to Canada and Mexico and perhaps 42 of the US states.

I do hope that the Scarrow Macro and Cato books get to the Year of the Four Emperors of 69 AD. Quite a violent mess with various Roman provinces fighting each other to get their military leader on the Roman throne. And not for NOTHING. Claudius - Ancient History Encyclopedia

He has not pooped yet so it is still a problem. He is sitting on my Dad's lap where he usually is for 4 to 6 hours a day. That or some other lap like mine or my brother's or brother's wife's or mother's or some neighbor's or even the lap of the visiting pastor. I hope he can hold it and does not have an accident on a lap. And not for NOTHING.

Well. I do have to focus on NOTHING. And not dog poop. The rain does wash away a lot of the poop in the yards and other places which is a good thing. Yesterday, I was talking to a guy who used to work at the Amtrak Station in NYC and almost walked into a load one of his dogs just put down but he quickly stopped me from getting my boots dirty by flagging the crap. Lots of interesting people in the Villages and near them. A few years ago I listened a lot to a man who used to manage the NYC subway system. And often talked to a NYC retired art teacher. And an off Broadway NYC retired dancer. All while avoiding dog poop. Some of the time.

I have only seen NYC from a distance but never been there. :(

My older brother was in NYC a few months ago to meet with a bunch of possible publishers of his book but he has yet to find one. They have some kind of meeting of potential selling writers getting together with publishing houses in the Summers. Something some of the budding writers here in the Villages or nearby might want to look into.

Lots of writers in my family. It seems to be a family addiction.

Bacon, Ice cream, pizza, chili. But NOTHING still comes first.

Just stuff maybe of interest to the many people who look at the NOTHING thread even if I doubt if many people would be interested in the Simon Scarrow Eagles of the Empire series. Barnes and Noble here in the Villages did have a few of them years back but probably have none now. That is partly why I get them from Book Depository. And they often discount them.

Scarrow also wrote a series on Napoleon and Wellington. Have not read any of these Wellington books though.

B&N Store & Event Locator The Villages' Barnes and Noble has a really cool store number. 2264.

Taltarzac725 12-20-2018 11:10 AM

Wind may pick up soon here in the Villages. Did clean yard of debris but will have to pray that the neighbors' junk does not come our way. Hope it is NOTHING to worry about.

Hubby got up this morning and said I think I'll make Bolognese sauce with this ground beef we have. A few minutes later he said, you know what, let's do Chile. LOL I don't read these threads to him so the power of suggestion does not apply! Unless, after 30+ years he has learned to read my mind.

I have the other package of Skyline in the freezer. I didn't throw it out because I promised GG that I would try it again but doctored with onions, and beans and cheddar cheese, etc. (It seems to defeat the purpose of buying a frozen food). But I can not bear the possible chance of ruining a nice homemade Chili so it will have to wait for nothing but another time (maybe).
