I hope our one Poster doesn't get caught playing with his Hose because of this FireFighter Talk like last year. (No Names No hidden Anything, a Sophomoric Joke).

Our youngest Grandson had his Birthday inside a Firehouse in N.J. today. I swear its true. The Birthday cake was a FireHouse with a Fire Doggie And a FireTruck. He really is cute and the youngest Granddaughter has trained him to tell Abuela that her Toe Nails are Totally Jacked Up, not just Jacked Up, Now Totally. :1rotfl::1rotfl:

They are something else. I Facetimed him when he was on the way to his party and he said Poppa are Yous gonna be there, I reminded him we live in Florida and it started a small Poop Storm. I distracted him with a Knock Knock Joke and it worked. I still got it!

Our kids are spoiling the hell out of our Grandchildren but so far I've been able to shut up! So Far! It ain't easy. God, I love those kids and Mrs. N, FORGETABOUTIT!!!

Awww.........I love this. But then again, K says I'm NOTHING but mushy. Sweet stuff there, Nucky. I try not to think about it too much but your stories sure do make me hope to have grandchildren someday. But maybe I better get to TV first. I don't want to be one of those grandparents who refuses to leave the grandchildren. Then I'll definitely owe somebody dinner - lol

When the kid got NOTHING but mushy himself I felt a twinge in my fat heart. I got over it quickly and so did the kid. They are so overstimulated with stuff. One thing I will say for their parents, school and clubs and activities come first before any toys are allowed. Our youngest son who wants to move into Oakwood Oaks or Whatever its called dumped one house outta the three he is going to launch so I guess he's serious about coming on down. I let him know how much we love them.

We will never be demoted back to babysitters, we are Loving GrandParents and not Doormats. Sounds Heartless, gotta be tough or they will run us over, all three of our boys, we are the easier softer way and cheaper. Free is good right? Mrs. N is going back for a Communion for the 7-year-old Grandson and everybody is all Jacked Up that I'm not going. I've been there twice since last summer. Time for someone to make the effort to come south. I'm the one an hour away from Mickey & Minnie MOOSE! :clap2:

No hoses today.. Just NOTHING but a long azz walk, a boring 5 hour class and had to demonstrate deploying our fire shelter.. SSDY..

That birthday sounds like a dream come true for a little boy.

And it's not mushy when Nucky describes it.. :loco:

Back from the Third Swim of the day. Ah, life is NOTHING but good. Glad everyone is in working order or close to it and we are all gonna have a restful peaceful night. My favorite two news shows come on starting at 9 PM. They always make me happy. I will not share the station, channel, people, etc so I can be NOTHING but the top dog of the peacemakers. Peace Out!

Somehow I missed your response yesterday, Tal. It just popped up in my email this morning or I would've probably never seen it. Thanks for the suggestion. I just don't like venturing out of NOTHING these days. The negativity and criticism and nit-picking over every word in a person's post can get out of control on here even over the most innocuous topic. But I digress, as this is not the place to dwell on such things so I'll stop at that. Again thanks and I will consider it. In the meantime, hopefully the many who stop by to check in on NOTHING will catch it and find it helpful as well.

And since I'm first up today - Good morning, everyone!

Today's states for Villages' households claiming to have their hometowns in them are:

I have seemed to have run into a lot of these here in the Villages. People from Minnesota.

I am actually doing a whole lot of stuff with numbers and stories about them with NOTHING but a lot of help with my friends.

I do wonder what happened up there in the Twin Cities with my 30th Law School Re-Union at the U of MN Law School this weekend? Some of these people who put it together were people I had talked to about stuff or would have gotten word about things going on. Of course, I have little idea about what these people might be feeling and thinking about all this.

And I am never really sure who is a friend or foe in much of this.

Remember what I have been trying to do since 1992. Create dialogs in local communities about the practical information available to survivors/victims of crimes by creating many talking points between lawyers, journalists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, victim/witness providers, publishers, librarians, writers, nurses, consumer affairs groups, celebrities, Hollywood studio execs, students/teachers, business leaders, etc.

And a lot of this revolves around certain numbers and who I had tried to pull into these dialogs.

It boils down to-- What's in your library? Said in the voice maybe of Jennifer Garner. And this means more about what kind of links do you have and how friendly would a survivor/victim of crime feel if they walked into your library looking for help?

Lawyers often know just what some of these people would need especially if they are knowledgeable about what is available in their local community.

My 35th Re-Union for getting my Masters at the U of Denver would be in June if they are even having one. My graduating Class of May 1984 was four or five women and me.

Almost being the key word - I'm making some headway. I'll let you know how it all pans out. I think the problem may be 2-fold and I may end up having to walk out on my husband . NOT literally! I just can't take that mattress anymore no manner what he tries to do to "fix" it. So tonight it will be the guest bedroom for me. Honestly, I hate the 2 different bedroom idea but my back can't take it anymore. So we'll see how long before I get that new mattress - lol

And I hope you meant to say you had Aleve WITH breakfast not for breakfast. Of course I know you're NOTHING but trying to rattle my cage, but sorry, today it's unshakable. :1rotfl:

We are also in the market for a new Mattress. We got every penny out of the last one it was delivered to us in April of 2000. Yup 18 years old. It did have a 20-year warranty but I think I'll let it slide. I'm inclined to go for the same one again except have they lost their minds on the prices of these babies??? In the end, I will NOTHING but do whatever is necessary to make Momma happy. I think I could pretty much sleep in a tree. I'm not that picky.

Abby, Googlize Hampton Inn Bedding and it will give you the store that they run with the most perfect mattress I ever slept on in my life. Like I said it doesn't really mean that much to me but for me to notice how nice it was should really mean something.

Better buy it while your still up North cause we don't have any Bedding Stores down here! :1rotfl::1rotfl: Yeah Sure! :1rotfl::1rotfl:

I do insist on the best sheets. I prefer white or a lite cool color like green or blue. Very soothing and relaxing for Nappy Poos.

Ooops almost NOTHING but forgot. The Gentleman that we help out bought a cheapo from Sam's Club and he Raves about it. I'm pretty sure it was $600 plus delivery!

Thanks for the idea. I'll definitely check it out. Speaking of Sam's Club, I was willing to go the same cheapo route with Costco, mainly because we don't want to haul a king-size mattress to TV so it only needs to last a couple years depending on how we decide to work things. Once we get settled in TV though, I'm back to the good stuff. We probably will take our guest bedroom mattress down with us when we move though because it's a barely used Tempurpedic. But since it's only a queen we can't flip it to our current bed. Such NOTHING dilemmas........truly....

The only good part about the timing of all of this is hubby has NOTHING but a bad cold right now. Since I have a heavy work schedule this week I can't afford to get sick, so separate sleeping quarters may be in order right now anyway.

I read all of your posts about hippity-dipping into the pools here with nothing but longing and jealousy. They said I absolutely, positively cannot go into a pool yet. I tried negotiating by pleading that I am the only one who uses our pool, I never, ever p in it, and I will religiously take a shower with antiseptic soap before swimming. LOL, No dice. I was told the scab on my wound must be completely healed first. It's probably halfway there. My follow up visit is April 30th after which I need to take a trip up north to help my Aunt execute a new will (she asked me to be the Executor - a job I don't cherish).

So although too late to make a long story short, a dip in the pool is not in my immediate future.

Just to NOTHING but reinforce what the doctor says. The mother of my former business partner had a hip replacement. She somehow contracted MRSA. They had to go in and remove the implant. Put in some type of antibiotic implant in it's place. Wait for the infection to go away then re-implant her hip. I think a few more weeks out of the pool will be well worth it. I can't imagine what it was like for her not having a hip for 6 weeks.. :22yikes:

Boy, you sure are full of NOTHING this morning, Tal. Three consecutive posts and not once did you forget your NOTHING - great job!

I'll have to check out the link to the song you posted another time. I have no idea where this morning went. I thought I got up pretty early but it whizzed by. Gotta get ready to go to work, so hope you all have NOTHING but a great day!

Oh, and that Tempurpedic mattress worked out GREAT last night. No backache this morning.......:a040: Saw that my husband had moved to the couch in the middle of the night so couldn't help but ask him how the bed was. Of course, he said it wasn't the mattress but his cold that caused him to move. In the meantime, I have the new mattress all picked out. Just the touch of a button and it's ordered.....:icon_wink:

It really is NOTHING but the Bomb! That's what my kids say when the love something! Out of all the people I recommended it to only one actually sent it back. He was a driver for me and had an Alpaca Business and small farm in Pennsy. He loved the bed but his wife canned it in a couple of days then she canned him because he worked too much and refused to retire because he was afraid he'd be bored. I guess he gave in and retired. I got a Christmas Card from them this past year! Oh, Happy Nothing Day! Good Job there Sleeping Beauty!

:clap2::clap2: ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz :coolsmiley:

lol.. There was a guy in my fire class that I've known for years. He works for the state DOT but fights fires during the summer. He's been with the DOT for 42 years. Every year I talk to him he says he's getting ready to retire. It's kind of a standing joke between us. When I asked him a couple days ago when he was going to retire he says.. "I'm afraid to. Can you imagine having to spend all that time with my wife? I love her and all but that's just too much time together".. I NOTHING but cracked up.. Then told him That's Jacked Up..

This is nothing but a coincidence. I just posted on a thread about Early Retirement on the challenge of spending every day with DH.
