His family owns a local dairy farm and he does truck work on the side. NOTHING but a good old boy..

Isn't it great to have those kind of connections? My husband has a friend who is truly an auto mechanic genius. Whenever there's a job my husband can't do himself he takes the car to his friend. This guy has saved us hundreds, no probably thousands, of dollars in car repairs. We're going to NOTHING but miss him when we move. Now that I think of it, he's probably the biggest reason we keep running these old cars which in itself has saved us tons of money on both purchasing cars and insurance. :$:

Hey Tal, that info about the Blood is interesting and helpful. I have more than enough to give even if I spilled a little of my own over the next few days by mistake. I have to go in and be screened first so the process is underway either tomorrow or Monday. NOTHING but thanks for helping a brother out. I never knew or really though about how much blood the human body holds. Wow!

Why are some people called Blue Bloods? Is it just a saying or are they special? Do they get away with things that others can't? Are they royalty? If it has a bad meaning I don't know. I could Goo Goo this stuff but you esplain it more better!

'Blue blood' - the meaning and origin of this phrase

I found this NOTHING but interesting.

Quote:

'Blue blood' is a literal translation of the Spanish 'sangre azul'. This was the designation attributed to some of the oldest and proudest families of Castile, who claimed never to have intermarried with Moors, Jews, or other races. The expression probably originated in the blueness of the veins of people of fair complexion as compared with those of dark skin.

NOTHING fact of the night -

What is the difference between cement and concrete? Although the terms cement and concrete often are used interchangeably, cement is actually an ingredient of concrete. Concrete is a mixture of aggregates and paste. The aggregates are sand and gravel or crushed stone; the paste is water and portland cement.

Don't ever mix the 2 up again!! I learn so much on here........thank you, Nucky. :icon_wink:

Good morning all,

A lot of rain here this morning (it rains a heck of a lot more than I expected). But as the man said "Don't like the weather? Just wait."
LOL - nothing but good advice. I am so looking forward to the warmer weather and lounging in my pool maybe even with a Margarita. lol

You're not alone today on that note - although it hasn't started yet, we're supposed to get rain all day today. And at least there, when you get rain, it can come and go in one hour. Let's hope that's NOTHING but the case for you today. Really like the pool lounging and margarita combo - :coolsmiley:. How long before you can take your first post-op dip?

I'm not sure. They did say that at the least there should be no visible signs of a scab on the incision site. I have my 1-month follow-up on April 30 and will learn more.

I have to say though, the daily improvement is nothing but quite noticeable. I am totally off pain meds and my guess is that in another week I will be totally off the walker and on a cane. So there is much progress and, overall, I couldn't be happier.

This is so good to hear. After the long wait and additional delay you had to get this done, the last thing you needed was any complications post-surgery. Glad you've had smooth sailing thus far. I'm sure we will hear about your first "hip dip" right here on NOTHING. Looking forward to it.

And talk about rain, I think I just missed my window to get to the market before it downpours here. It's thundering like crazy out there. But bottom line is, I wouldn't have wanted to miss this NOTHING check in for all the tea in china, as they say. :coolsmiley: I will now happily go out and get drenched with an extra skip in my step. :a040:
