Another gorgeous day. Have 2 overnight guests. Took them last night to Lake Sumter Square to listen to the music then went to Karaoke at Mystic Ice Cream. Love watching the oldtimers get up and sing! Most were so bad, they were good. LOL

The mental image of this NOTHING but cracks me up.. I can just see everyone removing their hearing aids when the singing starts.. :1rotfl:

Kentucky Derby Day. Villagers' households by state.

The Kentucky Derby Day-- May the Fourth-- has these three six states showing their # of Villagers househlods which hail from each state:

Arizona-- 74.

Oregon-- 69.

Massachusetts-- 2, 192.

Minnesota-- 835.

New York-- 6,303.

South Carolina-- 278.

Lived in Minnesota for about 5.25 years. And not for NOTHING.

Connecticut-- 1,461.

Indiana-- 1,311.

New Jersey-- 2,541

North Carolina-- 713.

My second year law school roommate lives in NC.

Washington-- 180.

Wyoming-- 18.

So we have NOTHING's Kenswing and Nucky's hometown hails. Our household is listed as IL but I would consider myself having the hometown of Reno, Nevada as that is where I lived from age 10 to 24 or so. With some summers spent in Apache Junction, AZ.

Was not old enough most of the time I lived around casinos to gamble but did sneak a nickle into a slot at the Liberty Belle in Reno, Nevada when I was probably NOTHING but 13 or 14.

The Kentucky Derby, is NOTHING...but quite the experience.

Not so fun though, is when your pick, the filly Eight Belles (only the 40th filly to ever run the Derby), breaks both front ankles at the end of the race (after taking second)...and has to be immediately euthanized.

Especially when you could see something happening, with all of the people quickly showing up within sight of your box seats, but never imagined (it obviously wasn't being announced)...it was something that bad.

There was more than a lot of NOTHING to see at the 145th Kentucky Derby.

I do not gamble on much of anything though. A very big lottery ticket once in a while even though to be honest would not want a lot of money. It is not all that valuable to me. Just a lot of stress.

The only chicken I like is the Traditional Chicken Sandwich at Burger King. And I'm not completely sure if it's really chicken..

I NOTHING but outlawed Chicken of any kind in the house while I was home. If the kids wanted Fried Chicken it had to be fried, eaten and that smell outta the house before I got home. The entire family respected the rule. I never ruled with an Iron Fist just a couple simple things like this. Nobody sits in my recliner either just Mrs. Nucky.

I found its no fun being The Chief when you don't have any Indians. Rough Lesson. That's why I'm so easy going nowadays. :ohdear:

Now I'm Publix Fried Chicken Nuts. I see Clouds that remind me of a Chicken Wing. Now I'm hungry for Chicken but too tired to go out to get it.

Good morning all,

It was nothing but wonderful to host our guests for the past 3 days. It was even better saying goodbye this morning. LOL.

Now to strip the guest beds, launder the sheets and towels, put away the rarely used serving platters, etc. and get the house back to "normal". The older we get, the less we like change. LOL

We have chicken quite often in our household and not for NOTHING. Only rarely fried.

Love Publix's chicken tenders and Beef Of'Brady's are good too as well as their chicken fajitas.

Good to see you, dew, and Happy Cinco de Mayo to you. Hope the weather down there is better than up here to celebrate - it's miserable and rainy here today.

NOTHING but absolutely beautiful here today. Might even get up to 70.

Although that's probably not a good thing. Our snow pack is only about 50% of normal for this time of year. Could be an early fire season..
