My experience is that they never do, and being kind is something that comes from rejecting lies. Nothing but honoring our basic commandments will do it. Again, bearing false witness and judging from a posture of "above it all" and lack of facts is not considered to be a recipe for kindness in any society of which I am aware. Humility works Of course, I speak from a lowly position, but believe kindness comes from knowing, understanding, and rejection of anything dis honest. |

"“I will stand here for humanity, and though I would make it kind, I would make it true.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson. Nothing but good words, and he said also... "We choose to be kind, but we vow to be truthful. We endure the difficulties associated with this because we have faith that the act of being truthful, although at first the harder path to follow, somehow will ultimately result in good." |
Sure liked the little shout out to librarians in last night's NCIS by an actress I have enjoyed watching for NOTHING but a long time.

I looked through some quotes from Confuscious and put a few up on the post. Holy Smokes, you woulda thought I Shot Someone's Dog! I never felt so proud as I was receiving my 15 minutes of Fame because of something someone else wrote and I put up on the Thread. Big Deal. I meant Nobody any harm especially the person who took it the hardest. I respect many people even ones I haven't met yet. Several weeks ago the person who is crying the most, we collectively needed an umbrella, was getting pounded by many people and I offered a calming peaceful respectful post only to be pushed away. I didn't take it to heart, I took it in stride. I figured at least I tried. The person mentioned in another post that his age was 80 years. I wouldn't purposely disrespect that person from my home or face to face. No way. Why does everything need to be "Heavy Duty". Lighten Up! Enjoy this Beautiful Place. If you can get out of the house and Help Someone Else. The gift of doing that is Priceless. A few of us who posted daily invited anyone who stopped by to NOTHING to join us as we had a Harmless, Dopey, Fun thing going for a long time and a high number of posts. It was nice. How did it go from fun to Garbage and how can it be restored. I won't give up. NEVER! I enjoy TOTV'S very much and don't want to violate any of the rules purposely, I also refuse to be a doormat. So here's to a new start hopefully from this moment on where we can have some fun and post something fun or a problem that someone needs support with and feel a sense of community. I constantly use the Advertisers that TOTV's gives us, so far they are NOTHING but the greatest. Peace Out! :clap2: |

I think there is a great question to be asked at this time in today's NOTHING'S festivities!
I wonder if there is any time schedule for a visit to Nothing but Earth from Anyone? WOW! This happened to me once before. I threw someone a Life Preserver when the Seas were Choppy and they threw it back because it was the Wrong Shape or Color? I don't remember it was a while ago! |

Sir, whoever you are, I'm asking you to stop limiting my peaceful enjoyment of this Thread. Pure and Simple. I'd rather settle it simply here and now instead of bothering the Moderators. I'm sure they are busy with better things. If I misspeak in the future point it out and we'll solve it. I am a Blue Collar Man and sometimes my thoughts don't convey well when I type. I'm much betterer than a couple of years ago. I'm done negotiating on her as of now. Back to NOTHING. :a040: |

Talk Host gave a speech at the Villages Computer Club in July 2007 about TOTV and I was a member of the VCC back then. Even if they put 224s on their blackboards on occasion. These I am pretty sure were shout outs to Steven Jobs whose birthday is 2-24 and who founded or co-founded Apple. But now I am pretty sure some of those I have been seeing in movies and TV shows do refer to the 224 613 Project because of the Facebook private messages I get which have been from quite a number of actresses and actors. Remember that I used to work for the woman who became Law Librarian of Congress. She was at the U of MN Law Library most of the 1980s and became Law Librarian of Congress around 1990. And I did get nominated to 24 Marquis Who Who editions of various of their publications in the period from 1992-2002 or so and am listed in 14 of these various editions. That is very hard to do when what I was doing was just a hobby. I paid to do it in other words. And I do have four degrees which I worked very hard to get. And I have worked incredibly hard on this 224 613 Project for at least 28.4 or so years. I have had the help, though, of some extremely creative and very connected people with this work as I do seek advice often as to what next to do with it. We have been in the Villages since June of 2005. And in Florida since June/July of 1996. It would be great if TOTVers did some research in their home towns to see what their old libraries had in the way of links for the use of survivors/victims of crimes as well as those suffering from mental illness. What's in your library? :icon_wink: |

My Bose Companion 5 speaker system for my computer needs to be replaced. 1st Bose Component ever to fail me in any way. They even replaced it a year ago with a Brand New System. It also failed. I'm not even upset, that is one great company to work with when you need a helping hand but I'm not even reporting it this time. Probably part of the reason my Hearing is shot. That and Concerts at Madison Square Garden! Led Zeppelin - Live at Madison Square Garden (1977) (Rare Film Series) - YouTube Loudest Music I ever Heard. Louder than La Hacienda C.C. Was. :1rotfl: |
