Which nothing but reminds me. Mike ordered Veal Francese at a restaurant last week. After it was served, I called the waitress and asked to see the menu. I wanted to see the written description of this item. Well, Francese was NOT on the menu. There were Veal Parmigian, Veal Marsala, Veal Piccata but no Francese.

This dish had mushrooms and I could taste the Marsala wine/Sherry combination. I told the waitress this is not Veal Francese. She spoke to the cook who confirmed that he had made it with garlic, Marsala and Sherry. I informed her that a. -- the veal was not cooked "Francese" style which means that the veal is first floured THEN coated with egg and fried. And, b. the traditional Francese sauce is made with butter/olive oil, white wine, chicken stock, lemon, S&P and parsley. Although the waitress didn't have a clue, to her credit, she googled it on her phone and verified my recipe.

I was annoyed and wanted to made a big deal out of it but my overly sweet, complaisant husband prevented me from doing so -- "it's my dish and I'm not complaining" -- he is a lot nicer than me!

I will have to NOTHING but make that some time even though I hear that veal is rather expensive in the store.

Nothing but loving the new appliances especially the French Door Fridge and the GAS range. Today's menu will be Veal Scallopine Francese.

The Samsung washer and dryer are going back -- too small/compact and I am not pleased with the performance. Will need to have the countertop raised or replaced to make room for normal size washer/dryer. BestBuy has been wonderful so far and said no problem -- we want you to be happy. Can you imagine that? I may go with LG for the replacements. Not sure if I should get with or without pedestal.

We got NOTHING but the Pedestals and don't regret the decision one little bit. I think I have to change my stubborn mind about Best Buy. They have become more Customer Oriented than when the got fired by us in N.J.

My experience returning a Television that was 2 or 3 days over the time limit was handled well by their staff. Looking back, they made me Happy.

We want you to Be Happy. An Actual Miracle, glad that happened for you. :clap2:

Tal,

You can substitute chicken cutlets in this recipe -- just make sure they are cut very thin and/or pounded out to tenderize. Just as good if you follow the recipe. In fact here it is -- Chicken Francese

NOTHING but got my shot two days ago and felt a lot less punky and sickly than the last several years. I am always affected by the flu shot but only a little bit this year. In two weeks gotta go back for the ammonia (P) shot. Can't wait.

The Professionals at Santa Barbara Health take Blood and Give Shots and you hardly know they are doing it. In the North, you were made to feel like a Dart Board. :bigbow: They entire healthcare thing for us so far is NOTHING but Great except for one little blip. Whatareyougonnado? :)

I got both the flu and the pneumonia shots yesterday. Next week I'll get the shingles shot. I'd better not get sick since I have never had the shots and, while I really did not want them, the doctor nothing but convinced me to.

Well first you need to determine what category in which you want to post -- click on the Home Screen on the top of the page to see the different categories. Then you can click on that category (to the far right).

Once you are in the category there is a red notice on top that says "Post New
thread". Once you click on that, you can give your post a title and the the message. It will automatically put you in the correct section. You will have successfully posted a new thread where you are the first poster. If you want to respond to other threads simply go there and do the same thing that you did here -- go to the end and you can reply.

Hope this works for you. Oh, and welcome to The Villages, to TOTV, and, not the least of all, the nothing thread.

I NOTHING but just woke up from a "NAP" from all the excitement around here today. It was a Sea of Humanity. I think the best way to describe it was a humongous mix of Cultures and points of view in the heat of the day. People with MegaPhones chanting their thoughts. We had a perfect spot in the Golf Cart to watch the BIG SCREEN TV and were just glad to be a part of things for a bit. It was rough getting around. Everyplace was blocked, trying to get back over the bridge was a mission.

All in all our goal was met. We got to see what was cooking, we did and we are grateful to be home on the range. Maybe it was The Meatball Sub that knocked me out, WAWA is Great, WAWA is Great!

lobster610 10-04-2019 07:42 AM
