Here's a nothing story. A long time ago I was teaching electronics and 2 students, Junie Copeland and Ozgar Ozba were working in the back of the room on their project. I kept a radio back there and sometimes played music. One day one of my students made an FM transmitter that worked with the radio with the volume down low. I was in the front of the room with the mic and I cold see their backs and hear what they were saying. In a low, deep voice I said "Junie" like I was a ghost. His head snapped but he didn't know where it came from. So I did it again. Junie tells Ozgar the radio is talking to him. Ozgar says "You crazy." I do it again. He tells Ozgar again. He shakes his head. So now I say "Ozgar" and Junie tells Ozgar "the radio wants to talk to you."

I couldn't stop laughing and then I imagined myself in a principal meeting with Junie explaining to his folks why I was trying to make a fool out of their son. So I showed them what I did and kept Junie for the next period so he could pull it on 2 students in the next class.

You taught such cool subjects. I always did so much better in the subjects that interested me like math and science but had to struggle a bit to learn the subjects that bored me. My sister used to be NOTHING but jealous because I did not have to study very much to do well and she had to work so hard.

That is the funniest NOTHING story yet! You had to be one of the most beloved teacher in many of these students lives.

NOTHING doing. In recovery mode today. All gas, car, household, personnel is accounted for at this time.

I have seen people (both women and men) over the years who take their knitting/crocheting/cross stitch with them to meetings or gatherings and work on it while they are there. Today while I was out and about I came across a bumper sticker that said -

"If I'm not knitting, I might kill somebody"

So does anyone want to elaborate on that, or should I consider it NOTHING?

Lol.....not me either! I guess some people use it for NOTHING but to calm their nerves or to repress anger according to that bumper sticker.

I missed this earlier. Are you NOTHING but my sister?!? When I was up visiting her recently we were talking about this very subject. I was telling her that I always felt she was smarter than me even though she never finished college. She said she obviously was since I always studied so hard to get the grade and she didn't have to. No humility in my family.....:ohdear:

Anything involving logic I could always ace, anything that required memorization I could memorize, pass a test and then NOTHING but promptly forget since my brain deemed it non essential after that.

So the countdown begins. Not sure if I'll be able to stay up for our fearless leader's check in tonight - early morning and long work day for me tomorrow. But knowing me if I do fall asleep early and end up waking up in the middle of the night, I'll probably have to check in to be sure he is NOTHING but okay. It looks like weather conditions may not be in their favor out there and I think the winds are going to pick up in the next few days. Maybe he can tell us more........:pray:

You are NOTHING but correct. Triple digit temp with relative humidity in the low teens for the next two days. Then a dry cold front moves in Saturday which will bring the winds and possible lightning. I think we’re in for a wild ride.

You are also NOTHING but correct. Fuel moistures are already where they should be a month from now. At today’s briefing they said the probability of ignition (pig) is at 90%. That basically means if an ember hits it it will ignite. It already feels like a long season.
On the bright side after 14 days I get 2 days off. The first day off is driving home. The second day off is driving to the next fire. lol

I just woke up! Saw no email notification that you had posted and I temporarily panicked. Gee whiz, it is like we're married...... lol.

Glad to see you are back safe. You will be NOTHING but in my thoughts and prayers in the upcoming days......
