NOTHING like the thought of being all alone in NOTHINGVILLE. At least I see I can count on the girls to stop by. |

I'm available to help but in my wildest dreams couldn't be as controversial as our boy W. Maybe he broke a nail or a knuckle fixing the Cheby! He's Fine I'm sure. Nothing could be finer than having the gang back here and in Three Word Sentences.

Does anyone know whatever happened to D? |

As far as D goes, if I remember correctly, he got upset that they deleted some of his posts and decided to leave TOTV altogether. I'm sorry he did - he was a great poster who had a lot to offer the forum in kindness and wisdom. |

Wisdom & Kindness are but two of the qualities that he shared with everyone. Short and Sweet, Nothing but a fine person and it is a loss to not have him around to brighten each day a little more but thank God we still have the Joke Machine.....CFrance. Everyone makes a contribution in their own way.

So good to "see" you all on here today. I thought I was just going to have a NOTHING day at work. Instead my day turned into a big something. Anyone else ever have a deer hit you head on.......I mean run down the road straight at your car? I never saw the thing coming until.....CRASH! Between it being almost dark and the lights of the cars coming in the other direction that were blinding me, I never saw the darn thing coming, but the sound of my headlight literally shattering....holy mackeral! Had to crawl out of the passenger side of the car because the door jammed.
Thank heaven no one was hurt. No one except the deer, that is. What an end to a relatively good day! Time to take some Tylenol and head to bed. My son said I probably hurt myself more from getting out of the car than the impact of the deer. He's probably right.........it's tough getting old. |

How much damage did you do to your car other? And no, I've never had a deer come straight for me.. Did have a turkey come though the windshield when I was stationed in TN. though. |

Yeah, I guess I'm kind of attached to the old gray mare - that's what I call it....lol So we'll see what happens. If anyone can find a way to keep her, my husband will figure it out. He's got a gift for not spending any more money than absolutely necessary. |
I should have added......I'll keep you posted as to whether my car becomes a NOTHINGmobile or not.
If it does, I guess NOTHINGVILLE would be the perfect place to leave her. :D |
Sheeesh Abby, glad ur OK. I hope U can save the Ole Gray Mare. Remind's me of my younger day's deer hunt'in in Michigan. For two years in a row I hit a deer
with my Pick-UP truck before I even got to the camp site.... NOTHING but BAD Luck.... |

The suburban area I currently live in is worse for deer on the road than my hometown area that was in the middle of deer hunting country. You could hunt right in my backyard here versus having to go into the woods. You reminded me of a story about my brother who has since moved to Florida, but when he was still living in our hometown area he was driving along and a deer ran right into the driver's side window. Lucky for him, he saw it coming out of the corner of his eye and was able to turn his head the other way because glass flew everywhere when the deer shattered the window. Better him than me - I would have been NOTHING but totally freaked out! |

Well at least in TV, no deer there, right? Although you might hit a coyote.......or an alligator. :22yikes: That would be more than NOTHING! |

(Two NOTHINGs in one post--is that an infraction?:police:) |
Abby, Abby, Abby. As long as you are okey-dokey that's all that counts. Dopey deer, dear. What the hell is wrong with them that they become car magnets. A friend hit one on Route 78 near the Pennsylvania border and because he described in the accident report that he hit the dear instead of the dear hitting him the insurance paid zero, zip, nada, NOTHING.
This should be a signal, a sign that Florida is the move to make. Coming back to The Villages from Hollywood Florida I was driving cautiously because I assumed the deer were just waiting to ruin my day like in Jorsey, how wrong I was. I have seen a total of one deer about the size of a German Shepard and it wasn't a coyote. Very sorry for your troubles. I hope The Old Mare can be resurrected. |

You women and your attachment to your cars.. Mrs. K also had a 15 year old car that she loved, a Chrysler Concorde. On her way home from work sitting at a red light she got rear ended so hard that it pushed her up underneath the car in front of her. So the back end of her car was smashed. The hood of her car had a Jeep Cherokee sitting on it. She still begged the insurance company to fix it.. Thankfully they wouldn't.
That was three years ago. After they totaled the car Mrs. K got herself a new Subaru Outback.. Now it's her baby.. lol And for me it's a relief. The Outback is NOTHING but a beast in the snow. Actually does better than my 4WD 3/4 ton Dodge Ram.. |

I'm NOTHING but confused now.. Are Nucky and I outnumbered? The problem with the internet is I can't tell the gender of who's posting.. So I know Abby is a girl.. And now I'm figuring that Barefoot and CFrance are as well?
So much for the good Ol Boys Club.. :1rotfl: Any other females I don't know about? :ho: |

But you and Nucky aren't outnumbered yet. I'm sure jsw14 will be NOTHING but happy to keep it evened up. |
