Catch 22 and One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest were two books I really enjoyed which I read in the 1970s and not for NOTHING. More about bureaucracy run amok rather than crime and punishment. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest: Ken Kesey: 9780451163967: Amazon.com: Books

My great uncle Robert Trueblood got me started on the M.A.S.H. books as well. List of M*A*S*H novels - Wikipedia

Same guy who tried to convince me that his maternal grandfather or something like that was related to Henry L. Stimson and that he had met Stimson as well as did my grandmother. That is the Secretary of War from just before WWI and then during WWII.

NOTHING but JuicyFruit. :ohdear:

Do you have a favorite?

Neophytes? Is that when a person does a sexual thing too much instead of NOTHING to much?

I like Opera a little bit as long as it's not mandatory that I go somewhere to see the Person sing.

On the radio is just fine. You know what I always say. Funiculì, funiculà.

Mrs. FW. Come on now enough fun and games off the property. It's time to get back and do NOTHING. Glad your good kiddo! :icon_wink:

My great uncle was quite a character and not for NOTHING. Put his life up as bond on a friend in Costa Rica where he was a bus driver fluent in Spanish. His friend left town on him and he was banned from Costa Rica. Think he had a son there as well.

His mother's maiden name was Stimson. Father was Trueblood who was a lawyer for the railroad who went into the Army in WWII moving things around using the railroad. Military stuff. He would have been in his 40s or 50s in the 1940s.

My goodness, so much to digest here today and I'm on my last brain cell (no comments from the peanut gallery, please). Ended up with probably a record day at work for a Saturday, then a horrible ride home in heavy rain, fog, traffic, but thankfully no deer. My former co-worker who I had dinner with warned me to be careful on my drive home and to not hit any deer because today they would be "raindeer".......now if that's not a Nuckyism I don't know what is - lol.

NOTHING but delighted to see Henryk here today and appreciative of his effort to add a little culture to our thread. And thanks again to Tal for holding down the NOTHING fort this morning.

You are welcome. I see they have a lot of the most famous operas on DVD in the Lake County Library System and Marion as well as Sumter County Libraries could also have some of these. NOTHING seems to be getting a lot of views.

Not sure if I could sit through an opera at the Rialto as some of these seem quite long. 2 hours and 43 minutes. Verdi: Aida - San Francisco Opera (starring Luciano Pavarotti) - YouTube

I wasn't in Iowa in a Cornfield on The Plain. I was NOTHING but at J.F.K or La Guardia on the Plane.

You're a Silly Goose Mrs. BK!

Besides I've invented my own language. It's a mixture of Spanglish, HoodBugger & Englighy & Some Nuckyism's thrown in for good luck. I'm very flexible and adaptable. :mademyday::clap2:

Oh Abby so sorry your day was nothing but unpleasant. But think how much worse it would have been had you met up with that Rain-deer. Make sure you plan nothing less than relaxation on your day off -- mani/pedi, bubblebath, music, wine -- whatever it takes -- you deserve it.

Give that K-Man NOTHING but a cigar. The joke was not meant in a hurtful way so to speak.

Mrs. BK many of our current friends may not know the hell that we went through to get to the grand prize. The Villages. It is the Crown Jewel Our Bucket List.

Memory Lane, we, Your family and mine faced adversity to get to the finish line but we supported each other and Bada Bing we made it here. Those were some pretty rough times but all worth it.

The Villages Medical grinder gets the credit from me for saving my life. I had some problems that they NOTHING but very attentively took care of. I hear other peoples bad experiences and don't discount them one bit but my story is different and much betterer! I'm one gigantically happy NOTHING. With great friends like you Mrs. BK. :coolsmiley:

The friends I've made in this beautiful place are priceless and I wouldn't trade 'em 4 NOTHING!
