Thanks. I think it's just allergies, and burning wood doesn't help. That's just one more reason why this has to be our last winter here. Wood is my nemesis. That's why I'm not fond of trees - only at a distance. I can't even walk through the lumber dept in a Lowe's or Home Depot without having a reaction of some sort. Fresh cut wood is probably one of my worst allergens. Gets me out of splitting wood for the fireplace at least. How in the world I grew up surrounded by forest and spending most of my youth hiking in them and spending the day there is beyond me. Never understood the whole allergy thing......when it develops, why, etc - NOTHING but a mystery.

Lots of Southern Live Oak down here in the Villages even though they seem to cut them down for next to NOTHING. Oak Trees - University of Florida, Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences

My allergies were quite bad in the Springs in Minneapolis. And the pills I took often made me sleepy.

For me it is the smoke. The year before we moved we converted to gas but that turned out to be for NOTHING except for the new owners.

I have been in FL since June of 1996 so have seen very little of fireplaces and the like. The only real cold I have felt was El Paso in December of 2001. Was there for an interview with the U of Texas there and not for NOTHING. Messed it up as I had not heard of the case NOLO vs. Texas. Really dumb on my part. I was dealing with a lot of stuff in 2001. Nice bunch of people at UTEP. That is the University of Texas at El Paso. And they paid for the air fare, hotel, meals and the like.

And NOLO vs. Texas was something I should have been very familiar with. The Brief Story of Texas vs. Nolo - Nolo

And I have been to Texas a lot and kind of like Texas. Really loved Austin, Texas.

El Paso is one of the safest cities in the US too even though the city across the border, Ciudad Juárez, from there is one of the most dangerous in the world.

Meghan Markle has the Case! | Deal or No Deal | Game Show Network - YouTube

Meghan Markle as #11 and then #24 in Deal of No Deal .

Fellow 'Deal or No Deal' Models Excited for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry - YouTube

Cannot say I remember her from that show as all of the women with the cases were stunning. And not for NOTHING.

Thanks for the reminders. Sometimes we women/health care workers take better care of others than we do ourselves. So I'm pumping the fluids now and hoping to nap like a man this afternoon, although I'm not too hopeful about that. NOTHING but a better strategy for me most likely would be to push through dinner then go to bed early. My goal is to make it through work tomorrow followed by our annual Christmas eve celebration, get through Christmas day dinner, then work my 10 hour Wednesday. After that, I'm allowed to be sick - lol - talk about controlling......

Of course, hopefully I won't end up sick at all and it will be a big huge NOTHING. Which to all of us on this thread is always a good thing.

Fascinating case - good, easy read on the link. I assume you were interviewing for a job as Librarian? I can see how embarrassed you must have felt not knowing this -- these are the kinds of mistakes that stay with you forever. But, it happens to the best of us. We can just pray that it happens nothing but very few times.

Law librarian but for a University without a law library. They wanted a practicing lawyer to bring their top pre-law students up to speed for law school entrance at elite law schools or at least good ones. My stuff was fighting the powers that be in librarianship for practical materials of use for survivors/victims of crimes. I found next to NOTHING when I was trying to help my fellow Earl Wooster High students cope with the 2-24-1976 murder of our then English teacher's daughter Michelle Mitchell near the University of Nevada, Reno. 2-24 is my birthday. They did not have much for victims/survivors of crimes at UTEP that I saw in 2001. Their law library was quite minimal. They did hire that practicing lawyer though who also would help the prospective law students with their legal research skills.

I found very little for survivors/victims of crimes in libraries all over the US I checked from 1976 onward. Kind of a pet project of mine while thinking of my fellow Earl Wooster High School students. The 2-24-1976 murder was not "solved" until 1979 and then incorrectly as the police and the lawyers in charge really wanted closure of the highly publicized murder.

Somebody was really helping me though in TX is 2001. He/she pulled some strings to get me an interview.

We finally got the mattress in the garage. It did slow us down a bit. I had to make it to their house the second day because even though I told our kids to not tell the Grandkids NOTHING about us coming they yapped and told them anyway.

I don’t miss being here one bit. I love the family don’t get that twisted but enough of this B.S. already. You know in Florida when you smell something burning? It’s usually stumps or branches. When you smell something burning in New Jersey its’s probably some 1.

Mrs. Abby. Close down the operation in the Frozen Tundra and move South. This will be without a doubt unless there is an emergency our last winter visit. Everybody up here is sick with upper respiratory something. so take two aspirins and move ASAP.

Tomorrow Night is Santas big night and Santa is Ready 10,000% except I need something to make my eyebrows white? I’ll let the chicks figure that out.

I miss being home and our regular routine and look forward to getting back in the Polar Bear Pool.

Take Care all You Lovely Nothings! Yous guys are the best.

P.S. I don’t fly Mrs. Fw so that’s the fly in the ointment! Big Chicken. Peace Out.

tomwed, it would be a good time to check in along with GE, Barefootski & dbussone. That would NOTHING but make our day!

We went up in 2016 and I swore that was NOTHING but the last time I would go up. This year when they moved to MD I went up at Thanksgiving and that wasn't too bad. I would consider doing that again but I am not a sissy Mary and I do fly.
