When the kids were younger anytime there was an argument like Coke vs. Pepsi or which bottled water was better we would set up a taste test. Our middle son asked once on a dreary Sunday afternoon, hey dad what did you old people do for fun back in the stone ages? I told him we would shave our head clean or eat Gold Fish. He said he was in but this kid was sharp and asked how much it was worth for each event. I think we settled on $20 for shaving his head and $50 for the Gold Fish trick. He knocked out the haircut in about 15 minutes and it was one of the most memorable laughs of my life. Then it was the Gold Fish. He was having second thoughts but his older brother was sharp and went to the Pet Store and bought 20 fish. By now the entire neighborhood was in our house to watch him execute. He scooped them up in his hands and put them in his mouth and took a few chews before he machine-gunned them out into the kitchen sink. All 20 fish survived and I'm still waiting for my $50 for his inability to eat them all. Nothing but a good memory and now I see them doing this dopey stuff with their children along with staying busy with The Liberty Science Center and all the good places to build great childhood memories. Nothing but proud of them.
Good story. Thanks for sharing. Good times = NOTHING but the best memories.

And Kommander K is right......no beef here, just fun. I do like to stir up W once in awhile though.

As a plus, I book our cruises through Costco because they give back a generous amount of their commission as onboard credit. The Caribbean cruise we just went on they kicked back $810. That's NOTHING to shake your head at.

We joined both Costco & BJ’s, both with 3 miles of each other. Found we liked BJ’s better and shopped there 80 % more but we kept the Costco card for the cheap car rental rates.
Crap, had to edit because I left out NOTHING ? lol

Yes, we also love the rental car deals. The new Costco/Citi Visa is also pretty nice. Picks up comp/collision on the rental car. No foreign transaction fees. Plus they kick back a hefty amount on purchases.
NOTHING better than getting money back for NOTHING..

BTW.. NOTHING violation.. (Retracted.. lol)

I have a friend in N.J. who works for Costco. He has been there a little over 20 years and was a manager but the got knocked down to something with a forklift and he makes great money. Costco really treats their people great. He stills cries like a little sissy Mary over everything that goes wrong in a job that he's making about $25 per hour on. His medical benefits are fantastic. Not for Nothing but if they ever build one here I'm going to join just to support the workers, why not. As of today, I have belonged to Price Club, B.J.'S, Sam's in Linden N.J. which just closed and my wife said we belonged to Costco in Jersey but I don't remember. Out of all of them, I liked Sam's in Lady Lake because I knew where everything was until they improved the store as of late. I'm about ready to go down there and gets some steaks and start grilling but (deflated feeling) it's too late for it to happen. Nothing again. Damn.

In the immortal words of a poster, we haven't heard from in a while its true the pizza at Sammy's is Berry Berry Goodly. Big Poppa learned how to speak English/Spanglish rite here on TOTV'S. He is nothing but grateful for the help others have given him with furniture, clothes for his wife and kids and the opportunity a Villager gave him for work 6 days a week. Sunday is for church and family. He also got help and stopped drinking day by day. He said to say hello to all. So this is not Nothing its Something.

NOTHING violation, but no worries because you have me intrigued.

I remember Big Poppa but I thought he was the alter ego of someone else - am I right, or NOTHING but wrong? And is it who I'm thinking it is??

Oops, I see jsw14 beat me to the NOTHING violation. Good job. W would like yours better anyway cuz he thinks I'm too lenient on the violations.

The answer is no. I've been busy with more than NOTHING. I felt like I hated work today. Is that a sign it's time to give it up and move to southern NOTHINGVILLE?

The best news comes from Risk. Heading south is a Risk. Even with the storms since we've been here, there is Nothing so beautiful as Florida Living. I'm thinking about a new club. Retirees who want to wrestle alligators. Plastic toy ones to start then work our way up to the real thing. The last instructor was eaten, Its a long story. He was upset because he couldn't get to Costco on time for help from his son Bubba who starred on Swamp People. He now rests in pieces. He was distracted when he met his demise. This is a story Nothing more, the gator part anyway. Next poster continues the gator wrestling story and so on.
