I received a request for help with a trivia question and so far am coming up with no responses. Does this question ring a bell, or better bang a drum for anyone?

I'm trying to find out what Television comedy had this story line: woman
character was trying to learn the drum part of 'Wipe Out'. She kept practicing
all during the show. After everyone left (I think it was at a bar), she finally
played the drum part, but no one was around to listen.
