What is so different about the 8th of July this year?

At five minutes and six seconds after 4 AM on the 8th of July this year, the time and date will be 04:05:06 07/08/09.

This will never happen again...at least any time soon!

How will you celebrate the moment?

Some people have way too much time on their hands.

OK, I'll see you all on TOTV at 4:05 AM on July 8. Hahaha. Start without me if I'm still sleeping.

gryoung,

I think that is interesting. I passed it on to my son in California and my friends in Nebraska. I may even be get up just to experience the happening.

Not if it is in military time. But think of this.....on August 9, 2010 at 6 minutes and 7 seconds past 5 AM it will be 05:06:07 08/09/10. If we live long enough maybe it will happen when we're awake! Sheesh....I have entirely too much time on my hands.

Actually, in military (& European) time, it would be 05:06:07 09/08/10. Dates are depicted as DD/MM/YY. So using that criteria, there will be a straight chain on 07 August 09 and next year on 08 Sept 10.

Not to burst anybody's bubble, but this "sequence" of numbers is not unique. They currently happen annually. This set of 10 annual sequences actually started at 1 minute, 2 seconds past midnight on March 4th of 2005. There will be a similar sequence every year thru Dec. 13th, 2014 at 10 minutes and 11 seconds past 9 by adding 1 month, 1 day, 1 hour, 1 minute and 1 second each year.
