I was wondering if it had ever been discussed to start the entertainment a little later in the summer time? Even if they just moved it up when you change your clocks would help some.

I think it's a great idea. Problem is, sunset mid-July is 8:27. Little break from the heat before the sun sets.

Oh yeah, I'm with ya. 8:00 till midnight would be awesome. Don't think the merchants would go for that. I totally get why they start so early but starting at 6 would just mean people would be eating a 5 instead of 4. If they played till 10 at least you would have a couple hours when it wasn't so brutal. Might even bring more people out.

I agree starting an hour later would help for sure. maybe some portable sail type shading could be used also.

The merchants probably hope that people seek out their air conditioned shops to avoid the heat.
