Change the guts in the tank. It's a really easy fix and no expert needed

Sounds like you probably need a new fill valve assembly. It's an easy DIY project. Watch a video on Youtube. Otherwise, call a plumber. Mike Scott Plumbing is good.

Strange Squuk From Toilet
If it is a Squuk, I would definitely get a plumber. I've seen whole systems destroyed by Squuks! |

Relace the fill valve; easy to do. I once had the same problem

Make sure the water valve knob coming out of the wall is turned all the way on.

Most houses have the push-pull valves, not the kind that you turn. But, if you do have a valve that turns, turn it all the way open, and then back it off slightly. That will prevent the valve from getting stuck in the full open position.

Happened to our toilet too. Change the fill mechanism- guts. We had handyman do along with a few other minor items

Manny The Handyman, LLC is good and a lot less $$$ than calling a plumber.
He does a lot of work in The Villages. 352-530-2583 home/office 610-570-5303 cell |
