Default Decorative Saw Palmetto

I personally like the look of the SILVER Saw Palmetto plants around The Villages. They have planted on about every mayor street in big clumps.
I want to plant some as a back drop / hedge on my backyard... BUT... I have NOT seen ANYONE have these Saw Palmetto growing in their yards.
Are these considered a weed ? Too much work? Prohibited by The Villages ?

Again, I like the Florida look of Saw Palmetto. Again thats just me.
Thanks for the reply from people in the know.
Will

They are not locally available in anything more than knee high. Maybe a 1 here and there 4-5 ft. but very expensive. If you are set on Silver Saws and you need 6 or more, I would go down to a South FL grower to do the job, if you want anything larger than 2-3 ft. They do grow relatively slow. Call me at 352 303 8610 and I will help you get in touch with the right people. Ozz

ALSO
Not a weed and not prohibited. I have planted probably a dozen in Villages landscapes over the last few decades, some very recently down in the newer sections.
