Default Gravel and Edging

I have been searching the threads and haven't found anything regarding having additional gravel brought in for landscaping beds. Who has had this done and can you recommend someone? I also need to have edging done at the same time, either the poured concrete type or maybe just that plain black, inexpensive, type. Thanks for any help. I have called my own lawn company about 4-5 times now and haven't gotten a call back. , so if there is a company that does the gravel and mowing, etc., I would be up for changing.

Our lawn company does offer landscape services. We finally got him to come out and talk about what we want. Now, we're just waiting for his quote. We've had several people, all recommended on here, come out and some can give you a price on the spot and others can't. Our lawn guy and one other still have not gotten back to us with a price.

What's really frustrating is they all tell us something different about what we need to do. I know that in most things you get what you pay for, however, I'm not sure that's the case here. I want the job done well, but I don't want to pay a big price for work that's just being sold to us, not really necessary.

Question.....has anyone ever had weed mat put down over the existing (very thin) gravel, then more gravel put on top? One person quoted based on doing it that way, and our neighbor, who is a master gradener, said no problem. However, two of the other landscapers were agasp at the idea. Any thoughts? Thanks.
